I was thinking, there's no way I'm watching an hour video on Funny Farm, but, I couldn't _stop_ watching! I really appreciate the effort you went to in matching all the shots and filming locations, it was really cool to see.
Ha ha! Yeah, I know, some of my videos can get pretty long. But I look and find so much material that it’s hard to condense it down without taking away from what I’m trying to show. Really glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the comment.
Thank you so much for making this video. I have always wondered about this house and filming locations. You have the best channel on RU-vid and I’m so glad I found it. It’s not just a five minute video of one or two locations. It’s an actual video and very descriptive. Thank you for taking the time to make this.
Thank you very much, I really appreciate it. As you pointed out, when I set out to do filming locations, I try and find as much as possible and I try and do as good of a job as I can. Sometimes my videos get long because of that, but viewers can also skip ahead if they choose to. I’d rather have too much than not enough material when it comes to doing these projects. As for the house, let me tell you it sits in a beautiful location! My video doesn’t do it justice. They’re living on a piece of heaven there. And honesty, my entire filming location video for this movie hinged on whether or not the homeowners would allow me to film there. The house and property is/was the key location, and if I couldn’t see and use it, I wasn’t going to do the project. Thankfully they allowed me to and everything else you see was because they said yes. Thanks again for your comment.
That was the most comprehensive Funny Farm location video ever! Fantastic getting unique content up on RU-vid which is so filled with copy cats and same old same old. We look forward to your next video. Beetlejuice 2 is filming, will you be able to get any footage while the cast in on location?
I would LOVE to have a place like this to live in/at. I literally told the owners that they are living on a little piece of heaven. They both just smiled as if I was telling them something they already knew.
Great video! I recognized Jenne farms and Windsor swim area immediately while watching the movie so had to hop online & see if someone did a full filming location vid. Glad I found you! Keep it up.
Great job with one exception, Ivy's Cafe was a movie prop and was built to the right of that green house that is under construction. It was a shell of a building. All that is left is the sign
Thanks man. A viewer helped me locate Mack’s house and the Sid’s Hideaway Bungalow sites. I couldn’t have found them without him. I found a few other things and just decided to do a new one combining what I shot last year with this new stuff. Mack’s house locations was beautiful!
Such a cool places to video too. I much prefer the country settings over cities (way easier and way, way less interruptions and obstacles to work around). And some of these places were hard to leave, I just wanted to stay. Such a beautiful part of the country and a beautiful state.
@@ComeSeeWithMe omg I couldn’t agree more across the board. Vermont is such a pretty and peaceful state. I’m overdue for a revisit. I’m thinking of going up in a couple of weeks to catch some shooting in east Corinth.
The Beetlejuice stuff came as a surprise to me. I wasn’t even aware the movie was being made or that they were filming back up there again. I literally discovered it almost by accident when I was having breakfast the morning before I left for Vermont (I was staying in Maine). I drove to White River Junction, VT and stayed the night there and got up at 5:00 am to shoot all the new Funny Farm locations. Then I went up to East Corinth and did the Beetlejuice sites. Then drove back to Maine that evening. It was a long day, but I had a blast!
Excellent job as usual man. I've never seen this film but I still love before and now film location vids. I'm just big on nostalgia so they always attract me. I may watch this actually. Looks like it would be a fun watch.
Amazing. Serious question: How do you remember so many details from the movie when you are on location? Like the doorbell at 25:25. Your attention to detail is impressive. It's been a long time since I've watched this movie this makes me want to watch the movie again.
Thank you! To answer your question, I always rewatch a movie before I go find locations to refresh myself with the scenes. I also take screenshots of the movie locations before I leave for the trip so when I’m there at the actual locations I can use it as a reference, especially for lining things up. I have a pretty good memory for the scenes but the screenshots and clips I use as reference probably make my memory seem much more impressive than what it actually appears like when you’re watching my videos . Ha ha. But when I do these locations, I really try and break things down and show exact places and spots and I try and seek out as many locations as I can.
Very well done sir! very extensive hard work! just one thing I wonder though... kinda obvious probably, but you probably had to have the current owners permission to film on the property right? too bad you were not allowed in so we could see the inside of that wonderful house! greetings from Sweden😀
Yes, I had permission from the owner to walk and visit the property. And I would have loved to see the inside of the house, but I didn’t want to overstep my welcome. Had he offered to see it I would have jumped at the opportunity. But he did not and I didn’t want to bother him by asking. And I always enjoy hearing how far away some viewers are. Thanks for your comment.
I could be wrong, but wasn't Andy drunk the day he tried to crush the mail truck with the Boulder? It seems as if his wife was angry about all the drinking that was going on around that time. Lol 🤣
@ComeSeeWithMe Yup, I knew good and damn well that he was drunk and his drinking had been causing marital problems, so it doesn't surprise me one bit that he'd pull some crazy stunt like that while under the influence of alcohol! 🥴 🍺 🍻 . Lmao 🤣
Is that a private driveway or can you see the house from the road? I'm going up to East Corinth to see the Beetlejuice sets tomorrow and this is on the way.
It is a private drive and the drive starts quite a ways down the hill. I saw a groundskeeper working on the land so I walked up and talked to him and he told me the homeowner was home and was outside and that I could go up there and ask him to see everything, so that’s what I did when I was there.
You found Sid’s Hideaway Bungalows? That was one of the hardest ones for me to find. I’ll have to look up the GPS coordinates for Mack’s house and I’ll send it to you.
I did find Sid’s Hideaway Bungalow. Your video helped. I noticed a somewhat busy road in the background of your video and you showed an aerial view at one point. After panning up and down busy-ish roads in the town, I finally found it. I also found Mack’s house (I think). It’s just a few minutes drive from the spot where Andy got the dog?
