On one of the sunken scrolls it talks about how three deities saved the world from a massive tragedy. I theorize that these three deities are an eel, a shark, and a manta ray to reflect on Deep Cut.

The fact that Little Buddy hums the Calamari Inkantation means he, and possibly other Salmonid, were able to hear the broadcast by the Squid Sisters during the Splatoon 2 Hero campaign. And it could also be something rather interesting tied to the new Agent 3 in Splatoon 3. As if you ported over your save data from Splatoon 2, Grizz will call you a RETURNING employee, despite the fact that this new Inkling/Octoling is entirely different from Agents 4 and 8. Meaning that New Agent 3 may have worked previously for Grizz before, which is where they met and befriended Little Buddy

For the DJ Octavio boss fight, when you start it and you don’t move at all, he doesn’t start attacking you until you move

If nobody's said it yet, when O.R.C.A boots up for the first time in the first Alterna level, you can actually hear the first few notes of the Wii U boot up sounds!!

A really nice detail i noticed is that when youre in the lobby with other players you can actually see, attached to the roof, the holographic projectors that are displaying their inklings to you! Also if you look at the holographic inklings from cerain angles, you can see theyre 2D which is really bizarre to look at

For the glitch at 5:25 what probably happened is when a player picks up the rainmaker the game sets a flag that always updates the rainmaker's position to be the same as it's holder's. When that player touched the rainmaker as it reset, that flag was set and when the bubble popped and the game checked where it was supposed to spawn the rainmaker it put it right where the player was, causing them to pick it up instantly

On the endless salmon run death, it happened specifically because the player had jumped off from a fish stick. The game will try to respawn players on the fish stick, even after it disappears when the wave ends, spawning them in mid air instead of looking for safe ground like it normally does. Also the bomb bouncing out of flyfish has not been fixed, had it happen to me twice in a row yesterday lol

Speaking of endless death in Salmon Run, I've seen clips of people who have clipped through the wall and eternally banished into the abyss. Not sure if it is patched though

Fun fact about Octavio I didn’t notice until my own playthrough is the fact that in Splatoon 3 specifically he won’t attack right away and will instead wait for you to shoot ink first, it genuinely seems like he didn’t want to fight and instead just would’ve rather talked it over instead!!!

What if Little Buddy singing the Calamari Inkantation actually turns out to be more important than a simple easter egg? Like, is part of the reason he's so tame and friendly because, while separated from his school, he heard the Inkantation himself? Does this imply that Salmonids are just as susceptible to changing sides due to the Inkantation as Octolings are?

A thing I saw with story mode being after you defeat the final boss Mr. Grizz’s statue is behind the crates at the New New Squidbeak Splatoon camp most people probably know but I made the connection that they were the ones who switched his statue because they have it and I think it’s funny

if i had to guess what happened with that rainmaker i'd say that the the player sort of "ghost grabbed" it with that last second touching of it where the game went "okay they picked it up" but then realized "hang on i have to send it back there so let's do that" then once the shield popped it was "okay now we just wait for someone to grab- oh that guy already has it? ok then here you go" and it teleported right into their hands

5:37 I've actually had a similar glitch happen to me in splatoon 1, someone splatted me right as i had grabbed the rainmaker, and when i respawned i was able to shoot small rainmaker shots and my inkling was positioned like they were holding it

1:55 this reminds me of when a streamer named failboat was playing salmon run and after he beat the final wave he jumped in the water but when he respawned he got left behind

I remember one time I was playing salmon run, and we had a mud mouth round but it was really glitched. The mud mouth was literally running around like at 70 mph and it passed through me and I got splatted.

Did you know disconnecting during the results screens in the lobby counts the same as disconnecting at the beginning of the match? I was playing an anarchy series and disconnected during the post-game results after a KO and it recorded as a loss.

Simple answer to the rainmaker glitch When he grabs it as it resets there are two conflicting statements the game is getting “I’ve grabbed the rainmaker” and “send the rainmaker back to 0,0” the games answer to this is sending the rainmaker back to 0,0 but still have the grabbed state on the player. So when the shield is broken and the rainmaker is grabble someone already has the grabbed state. So it gives it to them.

For a cool secret I’ve found, if you look in the background of the Salmon Run Stage ‘Gone-Fission Hydroplant’ you can see a bunch of different giant fruits and vegetables specifically the ones I’ve found are Mangoes, Apples and Broccoli! (Also tagged you on twitter with this info along with images of it!)

"Come on, Frye, this is a kid's game!" The bad ending cut scene shows Inklings and Octolings alike get turned into an entire fuzzball, changing their bodies entirely, inside and outside. On top of that, the world turns into a giant fuzzball, ultimately destroying the only other chances of humanity's progression throughout the world. All while ominous music plays in the background, truly showing that you have failed you core mission. *But yes Frye, this is a kids game.*

another thing about the deep cut boss fights: if you go back to fight them a second time, they have slightly different “rematch” dialogue! imo a really nice touch

1:48 This glitch happens because this wave was done on low tide on a Fish Stick's pillar, and the player died while the stage is transitioning to high tide. Because the player's previous location was on temporary high ground that is level with the high tide, the game attempts to respawn the player on that location, but there's no longer solid ground so it just loops. 2:18 This soundbite can be played anytime Frye is speaking. She'll even say it during the broadcast. 4:38 Probably a desync. It my have been opened on the player's screen, but to the server it probably hasn't been opened yet, so physics kicks in and the bomb was treated like it hit the Flyfish while the lid was still closed. Sidenote: this game is much MUCH more stable if you use an ethernet connection as wifi is doesn't meet the recommended speed. 5:28 Another case of server conflict due to latency. Going to assuming that there are two variables in the code at play: one for the player that says "Yes, this player has a Rainmaker", and another for the Rainmaker's shield. I'm gonna call these "hasRainmaker" and "isShielded", respectively. By picking up the Rainmaker, "hasRainmaker" for the player who touched it is set to true, and then false if they get splatted. And then obviously, "isShielded" is true when the Rainmaker's shield is active and false when popped. However, the only state that matters is that whether or not the Rainmaker's shield has been popped, and the only way a player stops using the Rainmaker is if they get splatted. In other words, by picking up the Rainmaker while it resets to spawn, both "hasRainmaker" on the player and "isShielded" for the Rainmaker is set to true. As long as that player with their "hasRainmaker" set to true is still alive, the next time the Rainmaker has been popped, the game will be on the lookout for who has "hasRainmaker" set to true and then equip them with a Rainmaker. And that's where that glitch comes into play. If this is truly what's going on, then the fix for that is a rather simple one: once the Rainmaker's shield respawns, everyone should have their "hasRainmaker" set to false. Sidenote: I say "a Rainmaker" because in theory, if this glitch persists, it is possible but astronomically unlikely that two people can get a Rainmaker if they touched the Rainmaker at same time before it resets. This is due to latency and how data is transmitted between players and the server.

About the Frye thing, it doesn‘t only happen at the boss she can say it in almost all of her dialouge boxes for example when the Ice Cream Splatfest Themes were about to be revealed Shiver said the words as well

Did you know the big screen in the lobby is a Switch 😋 if you look on the sides of the screen there are the slider rails for joycons and underneath you can see the charger port 😄

Explanation for the rainmaker glitch was spot on. I had a similar glitch happen where I grabbed the rainmaker and died on the same frame, so the game had me a with the rainmaker but in a bubble out of use. Eventually, after being confused, I died again and the rainmaker popped back up.

One thing that I’ve noticed in every Octavio fight so far is that his model plays his beats in tune with the songs. So, by that logic, it’s safe to assume the model during the final portion of the final boss is playing the beats of the Calamari Inkantation during it.

Little Buddy actually hangs out in front of one of the shops in town! He wasn't there the second time I check, but I know I saw him in front of the shoe shop on a stool next to the door. I wonder if he randomly hangs out in front of the different shops. Edit again, found the little guy napping behind Murch on the other side of the sign he sits in front of. Found him a third time hanging out near the card game area closer to the water! This is fun! Now he's next to the story mode entrance. Now he's on the railing of that high up lookout area. Found him again, this time across from the amiibo stand. On a little square. Little guy is getting sneaky. Next I find him on a post in front of Harmony's store!

At 4:45 the bombs hitbox got bigger as it was detonating. This however caused the bomb (which was in a corner) to wallclip into the flyfish for a brief moment and was ejected with a force so strong it caused the bomb to fall out of the flyfish bucket

I dont know if this can be considered a secret, but is a detail that i see many have missed. In the fight with Dj.Octavio it is stated that he is not using the power of the zapfish, and in fact, while the other iterations of the mecha Dj.Octavio pilots use ink propulsion to fly around, this one mecha uses rockets instead, that makes me think that he is actually using fosil fuel this time around to power his machines.

Something that no one seems to notice is that in the final fight in the campaign, when calamari inkantation plays u can actually hear little buddy singing in the background in some parts, so him singing earlier in the game is actually foreshadowing.

With the flyfish, it appears that the little hatch that releases the rockets flew open and threw off the bomb

I've done this in a couple Splatoon 2 maps and still trying on some Splatoon 3 maps but if you trick an enemy into shooting a sponge you may be let up higher closer to the enemy base this also is done wile partying too

I've had flyfish eject my bombs numerous times. Sometimes I'll get a bomb in, he'll close his hatch on it which pushes the bomb through the bottom of him. As if they weren't annoying enough.

You can completely bypass the need for Little Buddy when fighting DJ Octavio by destroying the fists with a splashdown, and doing so keeps Cuttlefish's dialogue about Smallfry, despite him never being used.
