Floor is best but Tarja and Annette are both good in their own ways. Tarja is a little hard to understand and Annette lacks vocal range but all were (and are) good.
Cool . More espacially the photo when you cover Lara Croft and the one when on stage à stupid put you the rabbit hears, or when you jump on Mike ( poor guy, I hope je bad the time to finish his glass of wine.
The whole concept in the beginning was to do something different so a rock group with a female soprano singer was invented. You originally began to like Nightwish because of Tarja. Had they started as a standard rock group with usual male or female lead then replaced with a soprano your words would make sense but as they started with Tarja your cmments are daft.
Look at it this way, being the original singer doesn't make you the best. Roy Khan wasn't Kamelot's first, Bruce and Halford were both the 2nd singers, etc. Floor stepped in as an upgrade to Tarja and Anette, both the members of Nightwish, and most fans knew it, as did the other bands on tour with them. Watch some of the videos of the other ladies in metal singing with her, they all know it. Floor was the first one to make their tours profitable, according to Tuomas.
@Dinarte Sousa But operatic metal is Nightwish's style. In 1996 Tuomas wanted Tarja to sing in Nightwish because he wants to mix metal, classical and operatic voice and Tarja made Nightwish famous. You should thank her. Without Tarja, not Floor.
@Dinarte Sousa Tarja's opera style voice AND the dark metal music - that's why Nightwish was an other level. Without Tarja's character on stage and her voice Nightwish become an excellent band - but nothing more. I try to take a liking their classical songs with Floor - I can't, sorry. The authentic Nightwish is over, it's no more the same band......
I DO WONDER, did Toumas REALLY love Tarja in a romantic way? I GUESS, IF he DID and she was going to marry somebody else, that'd be REALLY awkward, BUT, I am GUESSING that it was just made up.
I think they keep this secret. We can guess and analyze forever, we will never know the whole truth. And it is fine. It can stay the eternal mistery of Nightwish.
