There is no way in today's world Richard Dawson could get away with what he did on that stage although I fully believe how he interacted with the contestants is what made that show so successful early on.
The reason these shows were funny back in olden days is because the answers were unintentionally naughty because either the contestants slipped out what was on their dirty mind or they were just stupid
I'm glad I'm not the only person to notice that. I don't think he's particularly good on his feet (as it were), and that's a pretty lousy drawback to have in a host of this particular show. Also, I don't think he's very nice. One time he was being so hard on a contestant that the contestant actually smiled at him and said, "We ready to move on now? You get it all out of your system?"
I preferred the old school family feud, before all the questions became innuendos. Back then if it became sexual it was because the person had a dirty mind.

It's not the sensors. It the whining women. I'm a woman.i grow up watching Family Feud w/ Richard Dawson. I always wanted to grow up and go on the show just to kiss Richard Dawson.

Those were the days! We now live in a sue-happy, uptight, every-little-thing-is-an-issue world. The 60’s, 70’s & 80’s were golden times in almost every aspect. Those of us who experienced those decades were indeed lucky. Lord help our children and their children in this increasingly upside down world.

I recalled the good old days where a women gave a men an innocent kissed a on the cheek and nothing became of it. Nowadays, the host will get sue, lost his job, and being looked upon as a misogynistic pervert.
I was going say the show is probably more outrageous these days with what the contestant can say then start watching this video and all those young woman start kissing the host, I was wrong!
