The skit with Ben and the mental health impacts of social media ☹️ This channel hits you with these serious ones occasionally and does a great job of it.
I just kept waiting for the laugh and it never came. Great editing and delivery on the skit. Shined a spotlight on the downsides of constant connectivity.
The one with Ben being chronically online, and trying to open up to his mum about his isolation and depression cuts so damn deep. The man is such an incredible actor and honestly I think VLDL would be less without him.
@@incaseofamnesia6380 But with great help of Byron, Ellie, Britt and I think I forgot someone. Someone not seen that often, but still a member. Each of them is unique and beloved.
@@claireredfield7368 That sudden change from inactive Britt to flirtatious was amazing. These guys have gotten seriously great from their humble Honeywood origin
magine thinking todays "problems" are comparable to the real problems people faced 40,60,100 years ago, todays generation is so damn weak its pathetic, no wonder they are called the cristal generation
That video is what prompted me to delete my Reddit account. Didn't realise just how badly it was messing me up until watching it. I don't think I've ever seen so much concentrated toxicity as I saw in my three months there. Individual posts that pop up in Google searches are fine, but not casually browsing.
@@torgranael yeah, the problem is that stuff like that makes a bad situation worse. It distracts you from your life and makes you just angry. I have the same Issue on X , every day right wing conspiracy theories that are just making me upset and angry. Gotta step away from that.
@@BatLB At least right-wing conspiracy theories are contained in one or two locations. Left-wing conspiracy theories are everywhere. Political folks need to chill out.
In my opinion, its the natural development from TV. We watched that stuff on Television with big actors for many years, but it was always so .. distanced. It felt like they demonstrate a different world we arent part of. Nowadays people want something that feels real, and a RU-vidr or a Group of RU-vidrs who make Sketches about a shared world, a life you also live, is just way more relatable and interesting to watch than Humphrey Bogart being a dreamy Gentlemen in Casablanca, dating a woman that acts like no actually existing woman in the known universe. We just... grew out of it. This is the future of television.
That moment when Adam goes on and on about a life outside Playtech--and Rowan's reactions lets you know he HAS no life outside Playtech....absolutely brilliant acting on both parts.
it hits harder when you find out later that playtech is literally his playpen, funded by his dad. they really hit the heaviest possible way to create a sheltered nepo boss-baby in that character.
That one skit with Ben will always make me cry. His acting is so amazing that you'd think it can't all be just acting... And even the "bad guys" are written so well it almost makes it hurt more?
Internet overload... that kinda hit me hard. unexpected. Nobody should feel like this. Thankyou for having this serious problem mentioned so well in this way.
Ben messaging his mum is definitely the most emotional thing on this channel and I love it so much. I love it only because I connect with it too much and I'm glad you were able to convey it so well and Ben's acting, and the mum's acting is so perfect
27:20 I love how Alan normally is one of the most and logic character and you could say is the relatable normal dude but he doesn't hesitate to hurt somebody with that psychotic stare whenever he is pissed off... Also Rowan ends surprising everyone with his reactions.
So well done, I'm going through a similar thing as Ben right now and I cried when he was msging his Mum. Then I cracked up laughing at Ropranks and the recipes skit. Thanks guys, I needed that. It amazes me how you guys keep upping the quality of your skits, can't wait for more.
In the group chat, Ellie, Ben, and Rowan had argued about the pizza, then they made up and were getting along sharing cat gifs. Rowan must have said something else that Ellie and Ben found disgusting. So not only did Alan agree with something possibly horrible, his speech about pizza toppings really did come out of nowhere because they'd long since solved and moved on from that.
Ben is still bringing tears to my eyes... :( I'm so glad I'm out of my dark spot, to anyone reading this who feels like the world is against them and judging them... Just know there is at least 1 person who cares. Be it a family member, a friend or a boyfriend/girlfriend. Do open up to someone you trust, it can help you feel better I swear. ❤
The most unbelievable thing about Tinder is that a woman as drop dead gorgeous as Brit would even need Tinder to meet men in the first place. It’s so common to see super model looking women on Tinder that you can’t tell the difference between REAL women and fake profiles. Like, “Oh, yeah. You sun bath in the Caribbean, travel to Rome, sight see in Mexico, and chill on a yacht, but not you’re gonna settle down and look for love in MINNEAPOLIS sucking Minnesota?! Sure…!” 😂😂
Okay the Catfish was hilarious, but man that video about internet overload is so true. Ben and the mum did an incredible job expressing both sides of it. The one who wants help, but doesn't want to burden anyone and the support who wants to be there with them and show them it's okay to open up and be close to loved ones
The group chat skit is exactly the reason why i do not get involved in any conversation that was ongoing without me, too much to read to figure out whats going on
@@norrisjohnson6032 lol. Well that's just low hanging fruit. 😂 Here's food for thought... Dad's company is Techtown... Rowan made his own company PlayTech(town). Entitlement is rife. 😂
That skit with Ben talking on a bunch of platforms. Man. He can seriously act. I could feel the restraint and tension in his chest when he deleted his texts.
The depressed one, yeah that, that hits home. I’m still in that, right down to the avoiding family, on sick leave since February… getting better but yeah, that felt so real, I even deleted and re typed this… Thanks for the RoPranks after as a palate cleanser. Stay safe, stay well everyone.
Talking to your own mom about what you’re going through isn’t trauma dumping. Whoever popularized that term did irreparable damage to people who actually need help.
24:10 well that really hurt. I do this all the time deleting stuff I want to say because I just feel it isn't right or not something others would want to hear or even care about. So I just stick to what needs to be said and keep it bare minimum. Worrying about what others think or say about us or behind our backs if they knew how we really feel controls the way I do things and the way i live. But I never expected a comedy channel to bring a tear to my eye.
The conversation with Ben’s mom hits me really hard. Lost my mom right before Covid, and life got really tough for a while. And I would still do anything to have that conversation with my mom again.
I think we can all agree that we need behind the scenes and bloopers of the first gig with the great dancers. Surely that wasn't done in one take, right? right? :P
That grandma is HILARIOUS and I laughed so loud I almost woke sleeping people two rooms next to mine. 🤣 This whole sequence is SO good. Well observed, terrificaly and/or terrifyingly acted and I spy awfull lot of work you put into this. But seriously, this has some Pratchett level spot the thing people do and why qualities. ❤
Ben's performance was amazing. I've been there. Spent years there. And I felt like he and the crew knew how I and others who've been there felt. Thanks, guys.
He just needs to find a lady who loves fishing and hunting as much as he does! They can honeymoon in a hunting cabin and decorate the walls of their home with trophies that they killed together.
20:36 rowans sad piano music face speeks to me. That feeling when everyone else is doing something exiting and you just go home and watch bored collection videos.
That's the first time I've properly cried in years. The scene with the gamer texting his mum, was so sad. Took me back to dark times in my life. And really sad knowing there are people out there struggling. But then BOOM! The next scene with the pranks had me crying again but with laughter! Absolutely hilarious! I also may, or may not, have had a little smoke which has enhanced my emotions! 😂 Just thought if share that with the RU-vid community!
i swear this is true!!! Tiktok removed my videos because i was wearing arabian traditional clothing and said that i was a part of "criminal organization" lol
