@@musaddiqibrahim6878 this kinda stuff can really hurt women, especially if there isnt good communication in the relationship and the woman feels replaced/not good enough etc. U gotta be wise with these things women are fragile. Im not gonna put no 2nd wife on my marriage contract as ots something Allah has allowed and there is wisdom to it but ik it will probably hurt me and I'll be jealous. I do wish it was more normalized in our society tho
MashaAllah sister, if my future wife was to say I can't take a 2nd wife, I would not marry her altogether, cause unacceptance of polygamy says alot about her iman
@@Ikhomjon Just because a woman doesn’t personally want a polygynous marriage for herself doesn’t mean she lacks in emaan. Women are all different. Some are more emotional and sensitive than others, some are thicker skinned and able to handle a polygynous marriage. Just because Allah has created some women sensitive and they aren’t as emotionally strong for a polygynous marriage, it doesn’t mean that they are rejecting polygyny as a practice within Islam or that they don’t support it. In Islam we are allowed to have preferences. There’s a reason why the scholars allowed it to be a condition. Some women are very sensitive and cannot emotionally and mentally handle it. Therefore, it could cause mental hurt/harm to them. Please do not equate that to a deficiency within her emaan. The Prophet (ﷺ) prohibited Ali (رضي الله عنه) from marrying a second wife while his daughter Fatimah (رضي الله عنها) was still alive, because of the emotional harm it might do to her. Shaykh Salih al Fawzaan said: “A woman’s dislike of polygamy by her husband is a natural disliking and it’s not a disliking/hate of the legislation of Allah.” It’s very hurtful if you’re saying a girl whose extra sensitive has lower emaan because she cannot personally handle polygyny for herself. @@strivinghope no one had an extra sensitivity tho its totally normal for all women to dislike that however the strength of some women in faith and piety is what will prevent them from posing such thing in the contract
To those that didnt get it: You can add a clause to the contract, that if she screams, then her condition breaks and you may take a second wife since it broke 😂. You can add as many clauses as you want. Of course hes just joking around lol.
Sheikh, there is a reason why woman often don’t want to be polygamous marriages. Some times men will use that as an excuse to cheat or treat her unfairly. Our frustration and discomfort with jokes about this isn’t pulled from thin air, there’s a reason for it. There is nothing wrong with polygamy, but only if it is truly practiced with the best intentions and efforts. Every true muslim just wants a marriage full of love and respect, it that too much to ask for?

If a man is saying that he probably wants to be polygamous anyways so just call it off and move on to other candidates. ALOT of brothers are fine with it in real life despite how loud minority are on social media. I promise lol. But the few who are not tend to think no man will ever agree looool. Also don’t try to be crafty. Bring up the fact that you intend to stipulate this right from the beginning so that if he’s not on the same page you don’t have to waste your time. You can move on quicker Inshaa’Allaah. And most importantly, if you’re VERY sure it’s what you want, then ask Allāh for a monogamous husband that will never put you in that situation OFTEN and seek refuge with Allāh from being tested with that situation. If a guy is being very combatant about it or trying to add all these clauses that make it ineffective clearly he doesn’t want to agree. Don’t try to force him. Take the hint and move on immediately.
But my question is more than keeping healthy good relation with wife. Doing tarbiyah of children. Providing from halal Seeking knowledge. And giving dawah. Why don't people try to fix these things rather than adding responsibilities.. I have seen mans where they really feel happy to talk about many marriage. But why they don't talk about the responsibilities too. Taking care of education of their children. N many more things
@reichstag I’m not sure, I’ve never heard of this. I believe you have to make the clause before the nikkah as when she sets the conditions. Perhaps look it up on islamQA or ask a scholar like sheikh Assim Al Hakeem
I feel sometimes women get the short end of the stick. A woman may not be sexually satisfied with her husband as he has other wives and he is too busy or tired or doesn't care. (We know many Muslims husbands do not care about their wives' pleasure). Such a woman won't leave her husband because she has his children. What good is she getting out of this?
For brothers who didn't hear like me: if she write clause to not to marry 2nd wife. You should write a clause saying that if she shouts, her condition that you can't get a second wife breaks. So either you get a wife who always easy and never shouts, or she breaks once her clause and you can expand. I think that's what I understood. And Allah knows Best.

It cannot be forced upon a wife to accept a spouse's second and so on wives, she has rights as well and can file for divorce. This subject has to be approached with much respect and consideration to the initial wife. These are serious life decisions which can cause adverse marital and family issues

I don't understand why someone would marry a girl who puts these clauses in her nikah contract. There are many women who act like Allah made them, naturally! And now westernised. If someone marry this kinda girl , the blame is on him
Brother you should know that it is hard, to share someone who you really love. So it's kind of gheerah which they have. That is not bad it prevents from zina if she cares, and when one of them does it they do it all like sheep's. But regarding something that is beneficial for Ummah to have many children and marriages. It's indeed not smart to marry such a woman.
Every woman is jealous of her husband taking a second wife. It is in their nature and its okay. I dont think this is something we should judge them for. If they cant share their husband, its their right to add this condition.
