Thanks for clearly demonstrating each step of the process and proving that a chair remodel can been done inexpensively. I just bought a beautiful but used Ethan Allen table with six chairs for $100. I feel ready to paint and reupholster them now!

That is a beautiful fabric! I'm glad you refinished the chairs as the stain was looking tired. Great hint to put a protective top coat over the paint. I would suggest using the webbing on the front of the seat back as it takes the stress off the fabric when someone leans against it. The webbing isn't needed on the back of the back.

Wow ... SO informative and helpful!! I LOVE your chairs, too. I think by using your video as a guide, I might just have enough courage to take on a restoration project I've been putting off for over 10 years. I have an antique slipper chair with a little foot stool that would be cute in a bedroom. Now it will get done!! Thank you again!

I helped reupholster a whole couch before! My husband and I reupholstered our dining room chair seats about 8 years ago. They're still holding up! lol And yes, I used the original foam and batting.

Hi, I'm an upholsterer by trade... Two things so far that I've watched on your video. 1) No need to use wood filler to cover the holes that the old staples made, it won't help. 2) The foam only gets replaced if it's needed and if the customer pays the extra cost. If the customer doesn't want to pay for new foam, we simply explain that the end results won't come out as good if we don't replace the foam. Us as professionals we never deceit the customer when it has to do when they pay for new materials

Newbie here...I absolutely love these chairs. The colors are great. I have seen chairs done with removing the seats but this is my first re-upholstery video.
