I had purchased fabric from Walmart, and will use it in another project. That fabric, was to be my dining room chairs recover. You saved me from a costly mistake. This is such amazing information!! I started quilting and sewing about a year 1/2 ago and I didn’t know about the rub test!! What?!? That’s awesome to know. This is a nice informed video. I've never heard of rub count . You taught me something! I'll have two Queen Ann chairs upholstered soon by a pro of course...not me. HeHeHe It's just great info to know in case the installers try to tell me something different.

Great information! I had no idea about the rub count test, but it was information much needed as I will be adding a cushion and fabric to some high traffic bar stools after the holidays. I could spend hours in a fabric store. Forsyth fabrics is a great place. You did an excellent job with explaining how to choose fabrics. Great tip on the landscape fabric. I wish I knew how to reupholster. I just dropped off the benches in front of the foot of my bed to have them professionally recovered. Can't wait to pick them up at the end of the week.

I want to find a very heavy duty fabric to make a rug. I see everyone use canvas drop cloth. I want something neutral ish (grey, cream, taupe) but with some texture. Anyone have any suggestions?

I would like to ask you a question has nothing to do with this video, what do you use to remove staples? I have been wanting to remove some trim on a chair and removing the staples are so difficult I just quit!!

I am a dabbling designer and I love fabric! I have used fabric for everything from jackets, art work to home décor. But when I went to Europe and the middle East My Mind was blown!! I got so good at fabric shopping I was asked by my company to do Fabric tours for the company!! Just think blocks and blocks of fabric!! What I am writing about is My sister finally gave me my Mothers 1930;s dresser and after using in in her children's rooms and her grand children's rooms it is pretty beat up. Want to refinish it but don't know where to start.. I want to try to take a photo and send it to you for advice. I use it as my desk and would love to do it in Tiffany Blue but I think it is too beat up to have a good look my other option is to leave it as it is.. Is there an email address.Thank YouDorson
