Didn't know George Baker until the Ruth Rendell mysteries (Detective Inspector Wexford) were released stateside thanks to PBS here. Seeing him here is so different. Thanks for continuing to post Spooks or as was known stateside, MI-5.

I am sure it was rubles, but he is rolling the r's way too much for a true accent, and it probably sounded more like rupiah. Words can become what you expect to hear. It happens all the time with song lyrics, your mind will grasp hold of the most familiar..
