Fury - Lego Battle - WW2 - stop motion Lego WW2: Tank Battle. My new legofilm. Created based on the movie "Fury" ============================================= #legomaster #lego #legoww2
I agree its very smooth. But the creator uses a frame blender to achieve this look. While it does make the animation smoother, it actually just compensates for lack of animating skill.
Let's ignore the movie/tactics/faithfulness for a moment and admire how friggin' good these Lego renditions are for every vehicle in the scene. This isn't just a tribute to the film, it's a masterclass in custom construction.
This movie is unrealistic, a trained panzer 6 crew shoots at the leading tank first to cut the tactical communication between the squad and yes if they can shoot at a long range they must properly see the leading tank if that would be a real fight Panzer 6 can win it easily
As a guy who also makes stop motion stuff, I can tell this took A LOT to make. It takes hours and days to make this as smooth and good as possible. 10/10.
It depends on the situation. If you want the enemy column to retreat, you shoot the leading tank. If you want to block the path of retreat and force them into battle with you then you shoot the rear to trap them.
Also fury didn’t know where tiger 131 was so the tiger commander didn’t even need to reveal themselves. Also fury has a 76 millimeter gun a lot more lethal tiger crews often killed these first it was so rampant Sherman crews tried to camouflage their gun so it’s a great movie but it would have ended their for fury if it was realistic
Since everyone is going on about how the Fury's 76mm should have gone through the Tiger, it is worth noting that tiger crews were veterans and a) would have targeted the lead tank first which b) was a variant they knew was the threat and c) they would have remained in place. But that aside, beautiful animation
true ,German Tank tactics state that the first tank should be shot first and then the last take to stop the column from advancing, but if we wanna be even more realistic Fury should have not been the first tank but the second tank as it's the more valuable tank since it has the larger weapon. The Allies found this out due to, well this most 76 tanks were getting knocked out since they were at the front of the column. They also tried to camouflage the barrels of long 76's with a white wavy line to break up the silhouette of the larger gun, most notably seen on British Fireflies. (Similar to dazzle camouflage used on Allied navy ships during the war). With the Tiger I 100% agree that it shouldn't have left that concealment, it was perfect cover (I know it was a real Tiger in the movie, but the desert camo wouldn't have helped either lol). Also German heavy tanks would have worked in packs so realistically there would have been either another Tiger or at least a Panther with it. I do like the movie it's a great war movie, but just not a historically accurate one.
As a person who did alot of debunking with this scene I think a good reason for why the tiger engaged the way it did was because it could have been a new tank crew given a tiger and was just sent to the frontline and seeing how desperate the germans where at the end of the war I can agree on that orthe tiger could have not seen the entire tank column because of the mist and low visibility and thought it was a lone sherman and took the kill than saw the others after, I discussed with many other people about this and they seem to agree aswell, than again it could just be Hollywood messing up you never know.
@@jamzu759 It's Hollywood messing up. Tigers were not give to green crews, and generally had better optics than American tanks (but worse turret suspension) and it would have seen all the tanks. It happened the way it happened for drama and cinematic effects.
@@jamzu759 I can agree with that to some degree, but I personally don't think they would have just sent out a fresh group of young boys to fight in a Tiger. But I can agree with what you're trying to say with that.
"Ah ze batmann ,you have defeated my army, but can joo defeat me, ze end boss Gøring!" "im batman, i allways win against the forces of evil." Punches Gøring in the balls.
The attention to the cinematic emotion was very real deal and I loved everything about it from the tanks blowing up to them missing the shot to them almost on the other side of the barrel wow just wow plus the emotional intensity of the actors just wow.
Absolute master class the amount of details shows of true love for the project. Even the nervous tapping of the shutter button while waiting for the firing command was taken into account, regardless of whether it was historically correct or Hollywood fantasy. THIS IS A MASTERPIECE
That sherman is the finest LEGO tank i've seen. Looks awesome. The movie is a masterpiece in stop-motion world. Must have taken a lot of work and thousands of pics.
The best legos video that deals with ww2, I loved it because it does not look like a stop motion video where it shows, instead in this video it seems so close to the movie
Fun fact: the thickness of the tiger’s side and rear armor is the same, so you Shermans technically didn’t have to go round the back, just the side would do. Also, pitt’s easy eight should’ve punched straight through the tiger’s front at that range. And he should’ve been the first one hit, and then the rear.
Another fun fact the tiger 1s 8.8 kwk would have liquefied the Sherman's crew where it hit the wood, wood isn't that great for armor belive it or not but plot armor is indestructible
Seriously Lego Master studio... wow. Superb on every level. Attention to detail, excitement, accuracy, all of it just great. Thank you for all of your effort in putting it together.
You did an amazing job animating the best scene from Fury! Just a note: you swapped Pederson’s M4A1 VVSS 76W with Roy’s M4 VVSS 75. It still looks great though and it is something I could never do!
Fury is as realistic as Willy Wonka's Chocholate Factory. But when I see it in LEGO setup like this, it actually is not that bad and makes more sense, lol.
@@angrytexan5833 The crew for the FURY tank had unbelievable plot armor. Especially when it was being raided by enemy soldiers, 5 of them with Panzerfaust 60’s at 10 feet couldn’t even hit it.
Another fun fact the tiger 1s 8.8 kwk would have liquefied the Sherman's crew where it hit the wood, wood isn't that great for armor belive it or not but plot armor is indestructible.
Another fun fact, FURY would've died first since he had the 76 gun during the ambush, as german tanks would often take out tanks that could pose a threat to them
This is actually beautiful, the animation is so clean and the background is better built than previous lego remakes of this. Overall and amazing video, Good job!
I got the movie on Blu-ray I cried at the end when hacksaw Ridge came out the scenes were every social sacrificing their life until the end I didn't stop crying God bless my country God bless the brave men and women for sacrificing their lives for our freedom and defending innocent people
Most things people forget. Is that this was at the end of the war, most veteran crews were dead or captured. The Tiger tanks crew was more than likely made up of inexperienced recruits and they were two crewman short. Would explain the long load times from the tiger and the moving out of cover. As for the drama of the 76mm not penning the front plate? Hollywood.
the german commander of the Tiger tank would never change his position if he has a good overview, this is from the movie Fury, this moment is wrong, and neither is the whole movie
It was a pretty good movie. They lost me mostly when they sent the tanks unsupported. There should have been a squad or more of infantry, at the very least.
@@logandegnitz2403 the movie was fine, but German tank would never move forward if he has a good position. And panzerfäust can Is destroy every tank on the western front, and they shoot less than 10 meters from the tank and then the panzefaust flies off, that's just not possible, a panzefaust can go from steel more then 200 CM. I did mine Research Nothing against the channel from this person, but the movie fury is just not 100% good
@@blue-skyuniform I know. That was one thing that did bother me as well, but I was just trying to point out something that should have been painfully obvious. I do agree with your assessment however, since an 88 like on the tiger, koingstiger, and the PAK 43 and the tank destroyer variants of the panther and tiger/ koingstiger. It really didn’t have to move at all or very little.
@@alessprivitera5156 the movie is meant to entertain. Documentaries are supposed to show what’s real, not movies. That’s why you don’t see movies show Tigers or other German late war heavies brake down and get abandoned because that’s not entertaining even though it’s realistic.
I remember when I was like 7 and watching stop motion Lego films, a lot of them were so bad they seemed like slideshows with voiceovers. Not only did you do an amazing job but you also brought me memories of my childhood
