What’s the fuse number and where’s the fuse box that controls the 12V outlet so I can use my baby’s camera to watch him in the backseat and charge my phone ? My 12V outlet inside the car is not working ! Please Help

Thank you so much, I have managed to misplace the owners manual to my wife's 2003 Outlander she has had since 2009. Chasing a cigarette lighter issue, thinking it was a fuse as I plugged the same accessory into my 2013 Ford Focus and it only blew the fuse. But with the Outlander it is a wiring or actual cigarette lighter issue due to the fuse being good. But your video helped a bunch, I did not realize the diagram was printed on the back of the little cubby.
i agree with not putting anything metal near the fuse box but u wont really do any damage by shorting the two contacts since they are already connected by the fuse i appreciate the videos learned a lot of stuff i didn't know yet
On right hand drive models the interior fuse box is still on the same side but that's where the glove box is so you have to remove the thing to see the fuses >>> Pain in the butt !
Thanks! This video really helped, they have 2 fuse boxes cause, under the hood is probably for the engine to use and the passenger is for the driver to operate the controls. At least that's what I think why there are 2 fuse boxes. This helped out why my cigarette port was malfunctioning. I think I need to buy a spare of those 15A for my cigarette port just in case. The wiring inside my 15A fuse was broken.
Some cars are starting to get rid of fuse boxes and instead use solid-state current monitoring with MOSFETs to switch the loads. It makes things more fault tolerant such as automatically resetting when the overload or short is gone, and they can log diagnostic information for troubleshooting.
THAT, THE FIRST COMMENT IS WRONG, INCORRECT, AND JUST PLAIN WRONG. IF A FUSE OPENS THERE IS DEFINATELY A REASON! Either there was an over current condition, it got too hot, mechanical damage, or it corroded, but SOMETHING CAUSED IT TO FAIL! I have found cars 80+ years old with 100% of its fuses in tact.
Hey. Thanks for the video. I have an Evo iX MR. My fuse boxes looks similar to yours. Which exact fuse is it for the OEM Keyless Entry remote? Mine stopped working and I'm pretty sure it's a fuse or relay that's blown. I put a new battery in the remote and it's still not working, so it's gotta be a fuse. The fuse box in the interior by your left knee area: Fuse #15 / 15 amp. Is that for keyless entry? It has a picture of a key and door.
Hi my Mrs has a 2004 Lancer that the brake lights have stopped working suddenly. I have checked all the fuses all the globes have been replaced including the centre rear window stop lamp also. I have checked the brake switch for continuity and that also seems to be working fine but still no brake lights I have tail lights so power is getting to the rear globes. Power is entering the brake switch but there is no power coming out from the switch I am at the stage where I do not know what the problem is and are pulling my hair out. Next thing I will have to bite the bullet and take it to an expensive Auto Electrician. Any suggestions or help with this matter from anyone would be muchly appreciated. So my automatic headlights no longer work. My automatic dash lights don't work. My automatic windows don't go up and down anymore. Just my fuel gauge and temperature gauge no longer work anymore. These alllll stopped working at the exact same time. Please somebody help me!!!
Very nice video. I could not find where you put the link to the electrical diagrams. I am helping a friend that has a 2006 Lancer and the battery went out. He replaced with a new one but there is no power reaching anywhere in the car, not even the lights will come on. It has a new positive battery terminal and we checked the main fuses and they appear to be good. I don’t see anything wrong with the battery cables so we suspect a fusible link went out but we haven’t found it yet. There are 3 cables connected to the positive terminal but only the one going to the starter has a 120A fusible link and it tested good. We suspect we are not getting a ground so we are going to run a strap from the negative to body ground as a test. If that resolves it then we will follow all the negative cable and any links in between.
There should be no significant current through any fuse with the car off. There could be stand-by circuits and defective ones with parasitic draw on the battery.

I wish "something" to the japan enginers :) And that plastic puller is a joke Doesn't heat the rear window in my my Galant and cigar lighter doesn't work If I switch on the window heating in the dashboard, the little lamp is on, but not any voltage on the rear window heating contacts I checked all fuse nerby engin but I couldn't pull out which you can see up the fusible wire I started check fuses in the passenger apartment The two 30A fuses are OK and one row also OK After started heavy rain :) Now pause :) Can you give me advice how I can pull down fuse box to check relays and some direction to find the mistake?
My anti lock brake light will not go off and making that loud sound and my heat and ac went out anyone know why some guy took out my fuse 10 the red one and my heater and air went out🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🥴
My 2004 Lancer doesn't have that yellow plastic piece with the two 10amp fuses in under bonnet for radio & dome light, but instead has the two fuses in interior fuse box where that one doesn't. Why is this?
@@theoverengineer i found: you have to pull up the two fuses at the same time and they come off. Its made , i think, because they must come togheter to prevent some other problem
