I've been looking at a microwave kiln as a way of getting into glass fusing, but I've heard that you should fuse glass in the same microwave you cook your food in. Is that true? Do I need to consider getting a second microwave for glass fusing only?

Lux Aeterna you should never use the same microwave for cooking and fusing. I bought one at the pawn shop for fusing.

@@cherylkahler8047 That's a good idea. I posted the original comment (was it really 6 years ago???) because the fusing & cooking issue was something that the manufacturers of microwave kilns weren't mentioning in their product literature (or YT videos).
