Tabitha, you really are a wonderful teacher, encourager, and all around fabulous person. Others hold tight to any ideas they may have….not you. You share without holding back or for fear that someone may “steal” what you’re sharing. Thank you for all that you do.
I watched this entire thing and will probably watch it many times over! Thanks for all the sharing here! I know this was not easy or inexpensive to plan, film, fire, and edit!
On the samples with the paper letter between sheet of glass where you got air trapped bubbles, I have used the following variation. Instead of the 2nd sheet of glass, I use extra large or large clear frit. It allows the air out before the 2 layers fuse. The extra large looks more like the sheet glass, the large may leave a crackle effect unless us rinse off the glass dust that is in the jar and use the larger pieces.
Back when I was teaching I used papyrus paper to paint on and fire with, the paint transferred to the glass much better, and it was better to use as a cut out and fire between glass, it is or was slightly thicker and much firmer.
