Great video and very helpful! One suggestion to add a note: If the ribbon cable gets disconnected from the bottom slot, note that it is a ZIF Socket (Zero Insertion Force) unlike the top slot (which a normal ribbon cable socket). To reaseat the cable, the socket has to be pulled up (the brown lever bar) to open it and insert the ribbon cable and hold it in the slot while pushing down on the brown lever to lock the cable in place. Give it a gentle tug to ensure it is secure. If it is not, the printer will give an Event Code 55.30.00 which makes it look like a failed Engine Controler Board. From looking down on it, the slots look very similar (my printer's slots were both white). You wouldn't necessarily notice the bottom one is a zif socket. Ask me how I know. 😂
@petev4649 Haha, I won't ask how you know 😂 Brilliant comment. Of course, 100% right about this ZIF socket. A video on how to properly regenerate Fuser HP M477 will be coming soon. I hope you'll watch it.
Thank you for the video. What is the name of the tool you use to remove the sticker and help put the wires back in place? Do you have more than one; it would create a problem to handle something with a sticky residue (the sticker) that might get on the wires when putting them back? Please let me know. If you have a link where I can the tool, that would help a lot. Thanks again, in advance, for sharing and your help.
This is a very good tool dedicated to copiers. I have them in our store in large quantities: copy-expert.com/pl/p/Przyrzad-haczyk-do-zakladaniazdejmowania-sprezynek-i-zapetlania-drutu-elektrod/779

Thank you! But I saw that the fuser roller was damaged. can you tell me which is the part number for the M477fdw duplex fuser? Not sure who to believe b/c on amazon, they are saying it didnt' work for duplex.
The roller does not have a catalog number because, according to the manufacturer, it is not available. According to HP, you can buy and replace the entire fuser unit. In fact, there are problems with duplex after installing the wrong rollers
This is a great resource, but I have a question. The unit I'm servicing for my company doesn't have that copper coil on the left of the fuser and is using a RM2-7912 control board instead of the RM2-7911 that your demonstration model uses, (identifications best seen at 2:47). As a consequence, my fuser has two plugs that have no terminals to connect back into when I'm re-assembling the machine (The purple and gold cables to left of that ribbon cable specifically, headers J127 and J129 I believe). Have you ever encountered this and what is your advice on how to proceed?
Thanks for your comment. This gives us strength. We make more films about photocopiers and printers. Greetings. 🔥🔥 Channel Memberships - RU-vid: ru-vid.com/show-UCOHtXTtGHj33pUm8Gf2FH3Ajoin 😁😆 PATREON: www.patreon.com/CopyExpertMovieStudio 🔥💥 PATRONITE: www.patronite.pl/1796
