This is a good tutorial if your backplate is a little bit off or shake from your front plate, but really this is good for anyone who wants to align and track one tracked point from one clip, to another tracked point on another clip.
Basically you use the tracker, then an expression in the modifiers tab along with some (simple) math to help align the points. If you have not used a Modify with - Expression to get to the Modifiers Tab before, you will really like this tutorial.
Again this is a long tutorial, you may want to watch at 1.5x speed and slow down when you want. :) But it is very complete.

so valuable! This was so logical once you explained the steps. Exactly what i needed! i watched the one from Black Magic Design channel with Matt explaining it. It was so daunting and i couldnt get it to work. Its so simple in AE but i dont wanna jump between programs so I want to force myself to learn it in Fusion! Thanks Mike! PS: try planar tracker, it works much faster i have found and much more simple to apply yo other planes😁
