I realize that this is a bit on the old side as far as tutorials go, but it's worth noting that the fusion crafting core *already* had a comparator output when this came out. Slap a comparator next to the core, and you'll get an output: 0 => No recipe and output slot empty 1 => Valid recipe, waiting for start signal 1>15 => Crafting in progress 15 => Crafting finished or Item in output slot. A lot of the "When can I pull the cobblestone out" could've been simplified by a ton with a simple redstone comparator.
That was an amazing tutorial and explanation. You talked me right out of doing it! :) Really though, I followed it perfectly and learned a lot about some mod blocks I didn't understand. Thank you for your insane effort!!
Excellent use of the RFTools Control, Storage Scanner and Screen in this video! Xnet (another McJty mod) would fit nicely here as well and may simplify a few elements. Anyway awesome video.
Well that was a pain the butt. I had to make something very close, not ender io. Used mekaism to route items from interface into 2 storage scanners, and used a separate ae2 system to pull the cobble out after getting a redstone pulse. Bit of tweaking and it worked exactly like yours. Shame this mod pack I'm playing has very limited item transfer stuff even more so ones that can be filtered.
There is another way of automating this: you use Actually Additions with advanced item relays and then just use some filters on them with an Item Interface from Actually Additions. Set the filters to all the items that should go on the pedestals, then put the relay you put on the core to blacklist. Use phantom energy faces to supply the power. Finally, put an ME Interface on the Actually Additions Item Interface and set it to blocking mode. Works like a charm. Stupid easy. Don't forget timer! Thanks NomiFactory GregTech CTEU edition for forcing me to use the mod for the assembly line, showed me the power of the mod ^_^
Tbh you don't even need filters, just encode patterns putting the item that goes into the core as the 1st item and set an higher priority on the laser connected to the core
Wow the amount of research that went into this. Pretty sure this could count as some kind of dissertation. Did you take any notes while figuring all this out?
I think i will make a fusion crafting core for each recipe i want to automate and put export busses on the crafting injectors with an autostock crafting system and put an interface with the core element thats beeing put in the crafting core to the recipe result so that all the recipe the ME system sees is for example Emerald block to wyvern core.
you can "automate" the upgrades with a renamed item, just order them one by one from the me sys (a little bit easier than what he did) basically set the renamed item (i usually go for iron, gold, diamond but it doesnt matter) as the output for the recipe, ALSO put it as an ingredient, auto extract those items in the chest youre crafting from and send it back to the me sys at the start of the upgrade to trigger the craft complete (i used enderio impulse hoppers for my latest try on automating those) ultimately failed on the awakened to chaotic cores (could only order 1 chaotic, didnt do the extra item trick, gonna look into that)
Yeah it seemed counter productive to create recipes for over 200 items when they would only ever be needed once though...the way you just explained is what i was eluding to at the start of the video when i referred to "tricking" the system. I've used that on other builds but it was only for one item.
@@TheMindCrafters i thought so, i had even written in my comment that you stated that, but took it out bc i wasnt completely sure ;) anyway awesome video, will try to come up with smth slicker for the cobble than the RFT programmers :)
i had facing a problem on the processor which is both of my processor are set up with the same program but one of them can function but another cant, how could i solve it???
u could make things alot easier to "automate" is using extra fusion blocks there is nothing to stop adding a lot more of them that is 54 inventories to use... because i would love to see all draconic/AE2...because a lot of packs may not have the others
Thats too complicated, just use a minichest with enderio conduits, use a comparator to hold an item in the minichest until the recipe is finished, and a timer to start the recipe, very simple.
I maked a modpack, and a friend of mine requested "ProjectE" too... (Equalent exchange) Complete bullsh*t, OP AF! You only need some diamonds for that magic-box thingie, and bye-bye need of machinery... Fun part was, i maked custom recipie for that, so you need Chaotic level stuff to use EMC-crap. Btw, very nice solution for a problem, and good explaination. I try to figure out something too now to automate it. P.S: (Sorry for my bad english)
He never fully automated it. He just does a halfassed job. Oftentimes enough for kitchen sink packs, but usually he does quite a bit of manual crafting. This is fully automating everything except upgrades.
that's spaghetti code right there! that's so unnecessary, a the end of the day u need only to automate the cores and the awakening block, u have really poor knowledge of AE2, i made it only with AE2 without any other mods whatsoever
Congratulations on being the second ignorant jackass that's told me how easy automating fusion crafting is without any proof (aside from your meaningless "word") of having accomplished it. Upload the video to your channel and prove yourself right.
@@TheMindCrafters ok i will upload it, giveme the time to set everything up, i will post it in this channel ru-vid.com check it out tomorrow, anyway i will post the link here
“... only need to automate the cores and awakened...” - yes you can squeeze by with just doing that in vanilla DE, but it’s not true if DE is configured for hard mode and it’s not true in any pack that tweaks infusion recipes (Stoneblock, E2E, AoE, .. I could keep going.). For any of those situations, trust me, you are not doing this with only AE. This is a brilliant setup. I’ll look forward to yours, but remember, it needs to handle all the things shown here otherwise it’s useless in almost any expert mode pack.
It's "WY-VERN", not "WYR-VERN"! Only one "R" in there. Also, it's "Com-PAR-ator", not "COMP-a-rator". Emphasis on the second syllable, like in the word "com-PARE".
Nice to see y'all are still uploading. It'd be nice to see if you could recommend a computer craft script for the 1.12 reactor, or some other method that doesn't require the understanding of lua files.
This is really late I know, but if you still need it, this is one that I found for OpenComputers. It's mostly the same as computer craft, the computer just needs a bit more set up though. I've messed with this script for a little bit now and from what I can tell, (from the default preset anyway), it's safe. I haven't drained the fuel yet to test the empty fuel auto-shutoff but as the rest of the program seems to work great, I'd assume that does too. Here's the page explaining it. tenyx.de/draconic_control/#download Hope that helps! I know I searched for quite a while to find one to work with my FTB Revelation world.
there are actually many ways to get the cobblestone out of the chest, for example, you could replace it with a dropper that's facing the interface or you could use a machine inventory manager
I didn't go this far automating it in ATM3 modpack but I did save on labor. I set up a crate with enderio item conduit with limited item filter set to put 1 only of the target item in the craft recipe, and on a different color channel, to suck out items. It won't remove the target item, only the output. I set an RFtools timer to zap the crafter every couple seconds. I seed the injectors with a stack of the ingredients each. Done this way, it will make a stack of items without further interaction. The injectors empty out, the stack of the target item is replaced by a stack of the output in the crate. Saves pulling out and pressing start by hand 64 times. Using it to make growth essence. 4 fertilizers in the injectors, royal jelly being put 1 at a time, pulse starts it, once the output fills it's sucked out and a new royal jelly has appeared since 1 is allowed in only. You could also just put a stack of the target item in the crafter...
granted to change the recipe I need to change the target item in the filter and load relevant stacks of materials, it's definitely not as hands off as the method in the video but it does mean I don't have to stare at the interface for 30 minutes.
I'm not sure but if you just put the crafted item back into the source chest, then a scanner will emit a signal when its find the crafted item, you can use an importer on that chest by that signal.
