Fusion Fighters Dance Crew Perform in Temple Bar, Dublin

Members of the Fusion Fighters Dance Crew wowed spectators in Dublin’s Temple Bar area who gathered to see an Irish dancing performance with a twist by the troupe.
Performers can be seen dancing on top of wooden boards in order to elevate the noise made by their dance shoes, in the video recorded by the founder and artistic director of the company, Chris Naish.
The Dublin-based dance company “branched away from what has become the typical Irish dance experience in order to evolve for a modern audience while still preserving their traditions,” their company website reads.

It isn't. I was envy of one of my idols skills untill I've read how many hours he trained. It isn;t like they learnt that in few hours. They were training hard from begining and faiures till their current level (and still they train I think). Nobody is perfect on begining of road.

It's not easy at all. I'm an Irish dancer and I put 10 hours a week in of dancing/training not including stretches and exercises for core strength and leg strength. I know people who train 20 hours a week. It's a lot of work.

And this is why I'm a proud irish dancer. People say it's dumb, and not a sport but it's totally amazing. My brother went and actually did a camp with them two years in a row in ireland.

Thanks for replying. As you might adduce by my name I'm off Italian origin, Australian born and a grand father. Our eldest daughter married a several generational Aussie- Irish (of the highly educated posh type) while I grew up mainly with several generational Aussies of the bog/working class Irish type. My best mate and best man since kindergarten is one of these. I have two beyond amazing wonderful and beautiful grand-daughters of whom I deem have more than justified my existence and also exhibit a love of contemporary dance but have never been exposed to Irish dances which remarkably brings to mind similarity to Spanish Flamenco sans arm movements.
