@@kiki-mori The electromagnetic spectrum contains different kinds of energy waves we currently understand all traveling at the speed of light. Meaning radio waves (the lowest range of frequencies on the EM Spectrum) travel at the same speed as the speed of light (the only visible range of the spectrum without specialized equipment like Infrared goggles), despite being of lower frequency. It’s why radio telescopes are a thing, because they, much like sight based telescopes receiving light from distant stars, can receive the radio waves from distant celestial bodies. Theoretically, if Omicron Persei 8 were real and broadcasted something 1000 years ago exactly, we would be receiving it right now, with some give or take (gravity, if the source of the gravity is powerful enough, can mess with EM waves).
Like they would just release santa robot into the wild, apparently with no kill switch, or means to patch the code. I guess that would defeat the entire storyline anyway.
