I appreciate that in just this clip they acknowledge the precedence set by both the eyephone episode and the kif gets pregnant episode. I’ve always liked Futurama’s willingness to not forget about certain things that have happened in previous episodes, and it’s cool to see they are staying true to that trend

Glad that these episodes are being released on a weekly basis instead of being dumped on Hulu all at once. It’s not only more profitable for the service, but it builds some hype and anticipation between episodes that replicates cable in a way.

I actually prefer it this way Futurama is way too bingable, I wouldn’t want it to be over too quickly after waiting all this time, and this way gives us something to look forward to

1) Imagine Amy and Kiff being annoyed that the crew (or mainly Fry and Bender) don't remember that they have kids. 2) Best case scenario: At least one of the kids becomes a recurring character, and Amy's motherhood is relegated to the background.

Man, you can really tell how much time has passed by the quality of the voices. Billy West is fine with Zoidberg, but his Fry and Farnsworth voices have gotten a little scratchy. Also, Maurice LaMarche's Kif voice got a little deeper.

@@jimbo9208 It even kinda works, as Futurama has openly played into the idea of time passing. It shows the characters have actually aged 20 years since the show began. It was even the main plot of last episode since Fry felt he has done nothing in the last 20 years

Well Kif did say in the original episode that it would be 20 years before they walked on land. They aired in 2003 and since the show follows real world progression of time it’s been 20 years to the date

Kiff's people become pregnant when they have strong feelings for someone. It might be Leela's DNA but he mentioned that his people consider the one who initiated the feeling to be the mother.

Technically, it's only been 10 years since the episode in their time, as the reset brought them back to the moment before they were frozen, so they're in their late 30s at this point, otherwise they'd be close to their 50s by now.

I was three years old when I first watched the original episode. Obviously I barely remember anything from that specific time I watched it, but it’s just crazy how it’s been 20 years. I’m in college 😭
