The second preview of what is probably my biggest project yet. There are a few cuts in this video and I know they’re really bad and a bit intrusive but recording the entire level from 0% would kill my sanity so I just skipped the intro part and played the level with a few cuts and start positions to make it faster so that way you don’t have to wait forever for a preview. I might not post many of these btw since these take forever to make.
…
I’m gonna be real with you here.
This might come off as weird but I very highly recommend that you absolutely NEVER create anything with the idea of perfectionism. Doing that is exactly what killed my fun in every creative form for many months. A lot of good projects that I once made were scrapped just because it wasn’t perfect in my eyes. Remember. Not everything you make has to be perfect. A bad level or two won’t hurt at all because they’re just levels in a cube game. No matter how bad the criticism is and no matter how bad the level is, in the end it’s just a level. In a cube game.
GD is just a game so don’t get too worried about making a bad level or two. Everyone has made a bad level before and no matter how bad those levels are, they have no longlasting impact on the skills they currently have right now. The past has already happened and the future will happen later but the present is happening now. Focus on changing the present instead of focusing on times that are too far out of reach. Focus on whats within range.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk :D
