Some errors i made that i would like to correct
The blue squirrel 5521 exists in both the S series and the G series, not just the S Series
The I 6540 DOES have natural hair equivalents in a goat/syn mix and a squirrel/goat mix. It's much closer to the goat/syn mix.

I'm sure they are lovely but my heart is with natural hair. I'm older than you so will probably never have to worry when they eventually go, all synthetic

98% of the time, so is mine when natural hair is an option. The 2% that over ride my natural hair bias are special

Delighted to see this video on the synthetic brush alternatives! I've been dying to try Hakuhodo brushes but reluctant to pull the trigger because I prefer the use of synthetic brushes. Now I can safely pull the trigger with the two synthetic brush series! Thank you for such a detailed review!

Heyho, thank you so much for presenting this line! I really didn't know Hakuhodo offers so many synthetic brushes. I got curious and checked the US website: The S142 (squirrel eye blending brush) shares the same specs with the G5533. But regarding the photo the S version seems to be more tapered at the tip, not sure. For the I6451 (angled round eye brush) I found an equivalent which is the G6541: a blend of squirrel, goat & synthetic with a bit longer hair. Unfortunately, there is really no equivalent for the S141 (round tapered Kolinsky) I'm craving ;)

Such a great video -- thank you! I am putting together my order but had a couple of questions. For loose setting powder that I want to use very lightly, I was curious between i509, I206, K022 and then there are the 2 kebos. I think in a previous video you thought the smaller kebo was so similar you can get away with smaller ... . I know these last few are natural but wondered out of all of these, what gives the lightest, softest touch? I have mature skin that battles exzema on occasion. What do you think about the I555 vs the 5601 or 5602 for diffusing cream blush? I like the double duty of the I555 but wondered if one was better than another for cream. On sheer liquid or light cream foundations, the i5519 or the I555? I like a light application. Lastly, for a winged liner, the n3 or n2 still better if the product is a stiffer cream? Or, is the N4 better if the cream is thicker than a liquid? thank you! much appreciated!!

Not may, *are*. Lots of lines have d/c'd their original line and replaced them with syn equivalents.... To varying degrees of success

What is the least expensive but safe way to order and ship brushes to Europe from the US website? I ordered brushes once, but it cost $50 to ship the order. Is there another method that I am not aware of, so I can order more brushes? My Hakuhodo brushes are my favorite in my kit, but the shipping costs just as much as a brush. Any advice?

USPS First class is 20 something dollars, has tracking but no insurance. I'm not sure if that's safe enough for you? Otherwise the 50 option IS the safest. I'll be selling a large collection of hakuhodo brushes in excellent condition on my blog sale soon on the behalf of a good friend. Instagram Jaybirdwalking.Blogsale if you're interested in saving some money on non brand new brushes. You can also email me your wishlist. I can cross check the inventory I have to see if the brushes you want are there.

The ones I have are Shou Shou Lang, the mutton fat face powder brush and the freesia blush brush with profile slant. Unfortunately they're both discontinued

@@Jaybirdwalking Thanks for responding. My search continues! My favorite foundation brush (Sephora Pro 47) has an angled profile. I would love to add a similarly shaped cheek/powder/finishing brush to my collection. Ideally, a squirrel/goat or horse/synthetic blend with a beautiful glossy handle created by Hakuhodo. I can dream, right?!?

@@user-pk4sj8fs4x your welcome 😊 Man, thinking back, sephora has made some REALLY GREAT brushes in the pro series. Too bad they had a meltdown and dc'd them all. Takeda does one off custom brush requests. Hakuhodo, you'd have to order a batch. If you're all in for one and don't mind splurging, they are an option to facilitate your dream!
