Very nice I really enjoy the Chikuhodo FO series and the Koyudo Kakishibuzome series also love the Chikuhodo MK-UM she is thick and luxurious. Love the Bisyodo design. That Koyudo Golden Fox is gorgeous Tfs

The Mk-Um is definitely the most unique out of all the Chikuhodo Maki-e variety. It does have that density you talk about which makes it so great for bronzer! ❤
I absolutely agree! It really is. I’d love to see Chikuhodo come out with other brush head designs for their maki-e handles. The MK-UM was definitely their most unique thus far for sure! 🩷🩷
I’ve just got my RRC-2 and I’m impressed about the quality. I have the 2 of Z-1 and 2 of Z-8 brushes. And can say the RRC-2 is not much coarser than the Z series brushes. But the price of RRC-2 is great and it’s the great travelling brush for me. I also compared the RRC-2 with the Wayne Goss Air brush and the last had more drier hairs to me.

Does the z8 and the fo3 apply blush or bronzer the same? Or is the z8 a softer application due to the squirrel? Can the z8 build up product to get a similar application to the fo3? Thanks
I’d say the FO3 applies similarly to goat+squirrel blended brushes. Doesn’t apply as strongly as just goat, but also doesn’t apply too strongly either. It’s that perfect in-between. I’m sure the Z8 could eventually build up a product similar to the FO-3, but it would take more dips into the pan to get there. The fox bristles give a beautiful airbrushed finish, and so do the SQU brushes, but they take a bit more building up. Definitely depends on the type of products you enjoying using the most, along with the finish you prefer.
I don’t have the MK-MO to compare, but from pictures I’ve seen, I do believe the MK-UM is denser. I don’t know the measurements off hand, but I’m sure they’re around the same length. But the MK-UM is awesome I love its density.

I’m not sure. But you can still buy from CDJapan, Fude Beauty & Fude Japan. I miss the engraving service of Visage so much. They also used to have amazing sales.
