Fuuka's persona awakening is my favorite moment in a Persona game. *Fuuka grabs evoker in front of two major arcana shadows* Akihiko: "That's not a weapon!" Fuuka: "I know....." *calmly pulls trigger*
This ended up releasing right around my lunch break, so thank you for the entertainment. In all honesty, Fuuka is my favorite of the S.E.E.S. party members. Suzie Yeung, her Reload VA, absolutely nailed the role in the best way possible. It's great to see her growth and... wow, you don't truly realize how big a role Fuuka plays until it's mentioned. I'll also argue that, in the movies and the stage play musicals, Fuuka is the person who at least starts to help the protagonist open up a little more. Sure, they have their "don't care" attitude still, but Fuuka is the first person who sort of helps the protagonist realize why caring about someone could be helpful. Also, Fuuka has her own song in the musical, "A place where I belong". Just thought it was worth mentioning.
Nah you’re totally right about the last point and I actually mentioned it during the summary, albeit only through some text when I talked about the impact she had. She’s also my favorite member of S.E.E.S. as well! I love her character so much
Fuuka's panick in the aftermath of October 4th was beautifully done because it was both surprising and yet completely in line with her character. I've always loved the paradox of how she was more overtly distraught over Shinjiro's death than Akihiko and Mitsuru, who've known him for much longer. Yet it makes sense when you think about their personalities and coping mechanisms.
This video made me appreciate Fuuka a lot more. I didn’t dislike her at all there wasn’t a moment that truly GRABBED me with her. You’re right, she’s much more important than we thought
The mission to save her was one of the coolest parts of early game. Do you think you’d cover Mochizuki? His humanization shining through and being kinda a Yin to Makotos Yang was a really cool thing to see
I didn’t realize how much Fuuka is important to the story, now I really feel bad rejecting her but thank you for the video. I think now I have a more understanding of Fuuka or other character analysis. Dude, honestly I think this is one of your best videos so far.
I also think this is one of my best videos, or at the least one of my favorite videos I’ve made. I’ve been looking forward to covering Fuuka’s character ever since I made the Makoto one, and I’m glad it came out as well as it did!
I identify so much with Fuuka, because of my negative thoughts and low self-esteem, her social link is the most special to me. She will always be the best character! The goat!
I love the other priestess girls with Makoto and Yukiko as their both top 10 characters for me (Maki isn't top 10 but also great.) but Fuuka is literally my 2nd favorite character behind Tatsuya. I just love her she's sweet, caring, likes computers (like me.), is pretty (She's gorgeous in the Arena games.), and both of her persona designs are pretty awesome to me. She's the first persona user that gets to use her persona in a different way (think being inside Necronomicon or riding Johanna.) it's cool that she's basically inside a pregnant women's stomach. You actually made a pretty good case about pointing out that she might be one of the most important characters in the game. I somehow never noticed that. Despite being a guy I find her relatable for a similar reason I relate to Kanji. I mean I guess being into computers isn't the least masculine thing to be into but sometimes I have felt what she felt like "damn maybe I should be into football or smth.". But I find her inspiring as she actively tries to improve herself rather than wallowing in her own sorrow which is something you got to respect her for. She also has some pretty good interactions with the others. Her and Junpei are a pretty amusing pair to me as Junpei is easily the most extroverted person in the group with Fuuka being pretty introverted though not the most introverted of SEES (That would probably go to Mitsuru and Makoto depending on how you play him.). This is a rather subjective and more irrelevant point as to why I like her but I also really love the pairing of Makoto and Fuuka because of how oddly similar they are to each other and how in the movie 1 she acts like a bridge for Makoto to start being more friendly to other members of SEES. I still hold the opinion that I'm glad they kept the movie stuff out but ngl part of me wanted to see the Fukka stuff from movie 1 be brought in but that's mainly bias lol. Makoto can let his soft side show being surrounded by Fuuka who's a literal angel and as shown in her s.link Fuuka can learn to have more confidence in herself. I mean she's my favorite so I'd date her anyway but latching on headcanon makes it cooler to me I guess lol. Like I said it's very unimportant in the grand scheme of things. About the Answer it bothers me how everyone gets a flashback besides her. I mean idc for the flashbacks and I guess it's a little worth it that you don't have to play more of Chinese bootleg Tartarus. This last paragraph is just going to be stuff I thought was noteable to mention: 9:33 slick how you mention meet the grahams then the next line is "Fuuka doesn't have a hating bone in her body.". Though that makes me wonder if Natsuki has younger siblings that could take the place of Adonis and Drakes supposed daughter. Lotus Juice's favorite character in P3 is Fuuka. That alone makes me take back every criticism I've had for him over the years. Happy that Fuuka got a new english VA that doesn't sound more robotic than Aigis. Also another fun fact is that her JP VA played another character with the last name of Yamagishi in Jojo part 4 (Never seen it myself though.). She also voices Catherine in Catherine which I've never played but knowing what I know about the game they're like 2 opposite types of people. Overall great video and the fact you posted this on Fuuka friday makes this even better.
Like I mentioned in the summary, and throughout the video, Fuuka is a character I can relate to a lot as well in a few ways, so I totally understand where you're coming from. Her interactions with everyone else are really great as well I agree. This isn't relevant to this video in particular, but the dynamic between Rise and Fuuka in Persona Q was really cool. Anytime Fuuka interacts with someone it's always the most wholesome or cute thing ever. It definitely would've been cool to see some of the interactions Makoto and Fuuka have in the movies represented in the game as well, but alas it wasn't meant to be. I'm glad you caught the little nod I put when I mentioned meet the grahams. You could tell I was listening to Kendrick when I was writing that section haha. I definitely have a bigger respect for Lotus Juice after learning his favorite character is Fuuka as well. Thank you for sharing some of those fun facts I never knew about most of them! Thank you for the support as always and I'm glad you enjoyed!
ON A FUUKA FRIDAYYYYY LET'S GOOOO Basically As much as i love fuuka im surprised i never noticed how much she contributed cause i believe she fell in the background but still thought she was the Greatest creature ever but now im like shes even more goated! We stan Fuuka here! Plus the game don't get good till she shows up dont @ me 😤
You know I think I actually agree with the last point. I don’t mind the game at all before she joins, but my enjoyment of the game goes way up when she’s apart of the team. She truly is a ball of sunshine ☀️
Another Navi member of the tram to aid being Fuuka herself. Learning her best to cook meals, it is more with making or fixing technology things that still make her the best. Having a friend who once bullied her, Fuuka, with her special Persona, is also something else.
It's not often highlighted, but Fuuka is one of the most powerful non-protag Persona Users in the series. Although obviously her abilities aren't combat-focused so it's easy to overlook. But as a Navi her informational and communication-based abilities are a head and shoulders above all others.
Im the original she was completely irrelevant, literally one day I remembered the P3 cast and I completely forgot about her existence, but now in Reload is so much better thanks to her redesign that looks adorable and her new english voice actor, which is perfect and better than the original, now I love Fuuka and now she's my second favorite navigator in the franchise.❤❤
Ah Fuuka such a criminally underrated navigator. Next time we either get the mist broken party member or the most overhated character in the franchise.
@@YandereGogetai really hope your Ken video is a long one because i feel like we need a DEEP dive into his character because man was he overhated in FES
I'm sorry, but I didn't understand her character arc. I understood her desire to help be her conscious decision (which goes toe to toe with her Arcana), her impact on development of others and that she connects other people (which I like about her as a Navigator), but I didn't understand how she evolved her Persona after October 4th. Can you please tell me a TLDR version, please 😅. I am just rewatching this fragment a lot of times and still don't understand. What can I do, I am such a dumbass 😂
TL;DR: Fuuka and Natsuki have a much greater friendship than most people realize, and the death of Shinji as well as Natsuki having to transfer schools helps Fuuka to open her eyes to the fact that she had been running away from who she is to try and fit in, and it also gives her a new perspective on her power as a person, which is to bring people together. This is why her Persona evolves, because she isn't running away from who she is anymore, and she also realizes what her main desire and purpose is. If you want a more elaborate detail let me know
I like Fuuka's English voice actor far more in Reload than in Portable. Like no offense, but Fuuka's voice actor did not do a good job, like dear lord... It was bad... But I'm happy with the new one.
