The following video is an audio comparison of, one of the best fuzz pedals of all time, the Fuzz Face JH vs the Blue Faze from Mooer (wich is, in principal, a similar but smaller version of the Fuzz Face).
In this video we´re not trying to get the best sound of each one, is more focus on the diferences related to the amount of gain when everything is turn to maximun, and how they clean up when turning the guitar volume control down.

The Mooer is great once you learn to dial it in. Unlike the Fuzz Face, don’t crank the gain; go about 3/4 and it’s very close. It’s board friendly, slightly cheaper (especially used)… I’ve used mine for Hendrix, early 70s Gilmour, and even SRV to great effect. Even the Pumpkins sounded good here, though I have to go with the Op Amp Big Muff for those tones. It’s affordable and spot on to the originals that SP used on their classic albums.

You know if you place a booster or a compressor with volume in front of a Fuzz, it helps smooth things out and gives the Fuzz a reason to live on a board.. Then use guitar volume to control the gain..

There's lots of cool ways to use it. I also like to use it with a Deadbat+OD+Copressor+Booster to get a cool VelcroSound.

Does Mooer lose volume compared to the clean mode?

No, but it has less volume power than the Fuzz Face.

Interesting! Sounds/looks like you just have to back off a bit on the Blue Faze to get astonishingly close to the Fuzz Face's sound. When fully turned up the Blue Faze sounds a bit too fuzzy, too bright and has more noise going on underneath - but when backed off to a certain point it's very close (to my ears at least)..
