Hi we use that blue pad filter first as pre filter to filter uneaten food and big solid waste. After that filter role and third with polyester wool. its working good. we will insert carbon media when ever its required. thank you for the video. BEST WISHES FROM -INDIA
1st chamber “Free Filter” - It will filter the bigger particles of “waste” - It has a glass at the bottom so that when we place water output in the middle the water will filter out on the side - Now the bigger heavy particles will sink to the bottom 1st stage “Bio Pebbles” - The sunken waste will flow through the bio pebbles in turn becomes the food for the beneficial bacteria - It takes 2-4hours for the good bacteria to develop 2nd stage - Same concept but different kind of bacteria 3rd stage - Same concept but free swimming bacteria Last chamber - we don’t touch the pebbles anymore because the bacteria will live there, the minerals from the water will also carry the bacteria down making the water clear We have to keep changing the filter floss so that we can control the bad bacteria.
Ayos yan idol, another kaalaman. Sayang kasi walang subtitle. Ok lang sa akin kasi naiintindihan ko kayo at mas dadami din yong matutulongan nyo. God bless.
Mr Matias, in practice has a very good filtration system, with basic but good mechanical filtering, and the use of cascading deep bed bacterial treatment of the water for Nitrification; that is treatment of the water, from fish poop > Ammonia > Nitrites > Nitrates. This is where water changes are required, because the deep beds used here do not have the capacity to Denitrify the water. Denitrification is the last stage of the Nitrogen Cycle; Nitrates > Nitrogen gas. The slowest and most difficult. And hence water changes are required to export nitrates. Problem is Mr Matias knows very little about what he is talking about. This is noted in so many parts of what he is saying, there too many to note. :-) Don't listen to his explanation. Just copy what he is doing. Probably what he saw somewhere else.
Clear water is usually done by the polymeric adhesives secreted by the aerobic bacteria. The most efficient is the polyester floss. Denitrification is better done by the deeper zones in the bcb [biocenosis clarification basket ] where the oxygen level is below 0.5mgl
Maayu pagka explain boss. New subsciber here. Same rapod na sa mga barko. Sewage treatment plant. Same concept. Ug ang nag explain klaro kaau g tun an jod! Idol!
@@jamescardines9926 just understand the flow of water from the first stage to rhe second chamber, thats the secret of my filtration ,you can use any kind of media.
Really nice video...awesome information...helpful to all fish lovers..I am following your video as it is full of information's of great experienced gentleman... Can you pls clarify that as you mentioned in this video for 55 galon gold fish tank aquarium salt should be added 55 tbsp as its dise is 1tbsp/gallon of water, and during every 10% water change 5 tbsp salt must be added to maintain salt concentration.. Is it correct??? But 1tbsp almost equivalent to 15 gm salt dissolved per gallon of main aquarium water , is not enough high dose of salt conc in normal healthy goldfish tank?? Kindly clarify it??
