In this video I show you where to find the downloadable software for adjusting the H1 flight controller, how to calibrate the gyro, how to enable inverted flight and how to make other adjustments as well on the Flywing fw450-V3. It's a lot easier than you would think😉.

Just got the Huey H1 V3 and was getting the flashing red light, had no idea the compass needed to be calibrated first as the GPS models are supposed to not need it. Thanks so much mate she now flies!

You did a fine job on explaining calibration procedures for the FW450 Helicopter. The one thing I would include in your explanation is, and it's important...when enabling low battery RTH in the program, remember to advise caution with this setting. If the Helicopter is flying UNDER and obstruction, when activated RTH, the Helicopter does not have obstacle avoidance, and will fly (crash) into the obstruction (wire, Tree). You ask? How do I know this? ha ha!

I ordered one yesterday and was wondering about that, nobody ever mentioned obstacle avoidance so I kinda assumed that was the case. Sounds like I should leave it off because I plan on flying around the yard with it and it sounds like it could get me in trouble. Thanks for the tip!

@@nickarganbright7218 You plug it into the lipo and leave it inside the helicopter while flying. Believe me, you will be able to hear it while flying.

Hi again . I noticed when I flip the stick is not reverse how do i reverse the stick. Normally when invert the down stick heli will go up and the up stick heli will down

Ok I was told to get the 1.9v to download on FW website you have to disable your computer protection and then download it. When you are done turn your protection back on. It worked for me and only took about 20 minutes.

Hi, im fully registered. Drone pilot and i want one of theses Fw450's i have a few questions for you how long does the batteries last in the controller. Can you plug a battery pack into the controller Whats the plug underneath the controller. It looks like a printer plug do you have to calabrate every time you go to fly would it be ok to put normal AA batteries in or put Rechargeable ones in i am new new to this i want to up my flying experience would 1.2 volt AA be alright for the controller or does it need more Volts any help would be nice

I have 4 standard 1.2 volt AA batteries in mine. You can buy rechargeable AA's if you would like. I'm not 100% sure what the round port in the bottom of the transmitter is...I think it's a data cable for updating if you wanted to do that. Then there is a micro USB port to the left of the round port and I think that is for charging if you did decide to go rechargeable AA batteries. The transmitter lasts a very long time on a 4 set of disposable batteries. Probably like 10 flights or so. All of the info your requesting will be in the instruction manuals that come with the fw-450 if you happen to forget. Thanks for watching and messaging.

Okay I just received my FW450 V3 AirWolf that I ordered from MotionRC. Do I need to do this on my brand new helicopter right out of the box? Also can the FW450 V3 scale helis actually fly inverted? Or is that a bad idea to attempt with a scale heli?

I'm not sure on the inverted question. I would calibrate it just to be safe.

h Helped my neighbor with this so he could enable inverted flight and after downloading the software, doing the gps dance and turning on inverted fight, the gps will not sync to the copter. Tried gps dance again, clearing gps, factory reset with RX reconnect and no joy!! Gps blinks green but copter blinks yellow. Unplugged/replugged gps from copter, no joy!! Searched for gps not connecgting to fw450v3 but no help. Thinking I might try a firmware upddate but thought I would reach out for ideas before moving forward,

I don't think you HAVE to calibrate it out of the box. I flew mine twice before I calibrated it. I would recommend calibrating it though.

You need to use 1.9v your using OLD INFORMATION.

Yes I have been told that, for some reason I could not get the info to software to download from the Flywing website. I had no problemd with the software on the heli direct website.

This is the incorrect download for the V3,the V3 uses the H1 Lite ,Not the H1 Heli ,this is incorrect information 😮

Yes, I have already made a follow up video explaining why I used this download. For some reason my computer would not download the software from flywings web site but i had no issue downloading from heli-directs website so that is why I used this software. It actually worked just fine for a simple Gyro Calibration though. My heli was able to fly/hover perfectly fine using this software to calibrate. The very next day I was able to reset my PC and download the correct software for the V3. If you would like to see that video it is the very next one on my channel. Thanks for the concerns.
