This dude is way under rated. The professional Video setting and editing make every single one of his videos appealing and easy to watch and fallow along. Well done good sir
Great Video.. You mention a "Pellet Probe Modification" for use with the Huma Dual Port TP. I'd love the details on that modification... this video was the first time I have heard of a Pellet Probe Mod.
Thx 🙏🏻 The mod is very simple , just insert your pellet probe in the barrel line it up , mark the whole size on the probe and use a dremmel or something similar to enlarge the probe transferport whole to match the opening on the transferport 🤔 I hope that sounds understandable?
Great video, after watching some of your earlier videos, I to have added huma air reg, gauges and fx plenum. I tuned mine with hades. Running 1002 - 1005 FPS on max settings with great accuracy. Turning down the power wheel to C and .177/.22. It shoots 860fps accurately. Dreamline are a great little gun with lots of potential.
@@Airbuks hey man I can always mute it right lol Keep doing what you're doing! It gets frustrating watching other airgun tuner channels and they just don't know how to get the right angles with the camera but you got that down and your clarity is amazing...big fan and go to channel...especially with my new Tac.
Great videos, I enjoy watching them! Since I'm new to shooting and air guns I enjoy learning new things! Keep the good content! I'm with FX Dreamline tactical .22 FAC ( the "standard one with cylinder) Is there any chance to watch full "how to maintain the airgun" recommendations - how to store it : cocked/ uncocked at what pressure etc. How to oil it and with what, how often etc. Once again - Keep the good content!
Thx ! A video on that is not in my planning , but maybe when I am out of ideas 😉 But store your gun uncocked There should always be at least more pressure in it then what your regulator is set to Only clean the barrel when you loose accuracy And I always use balistol to clean the gun and barrel Always use silicone based grease on the gun never pertrolium !!! Hope it is a answer to the questions you have 😉
@@Airbuks Thanks a lot! The regulator is set at 100 bars and I store it unckcked about 130-150 bars. Now I will wait for your new videos 🙂. See you on RU-vid.
Great vid & excellent information and will come in handy when I get to see one show up at my door ;) Where did the spacer block come from that you have between the barrel and the 300cc tank? That should help, I would think. Keep up the great vids on this sweet little shooter.
Hi thx for the support, the spacer I have 3D printed myself . The only reason why I have it there is to support or prevent the barrel from drooping with the Donny and chronograph
You are doing an excellent job of tuning , I am watching and learning that my two FX dream pups need more attention to tune. Thanks What country do you reside?
Hi, That was an excellent video, thank you so much. I've just taken delivery of my FX Dreamline compact tactical and was really worried because at the factory setting of 100bars for the reg. pressure, neither the power wheel (hammer spring) nor the air flow valve made any difference to the velocities that my rifle is achieving. I'm getting around 730 - 750ft/s with JSB 15.89 pellets at 100bars reg. P. and air flow at .25 .30. Could you please give me the details of your exact settings, that is the measurement in mm of your hammer spring position at max, air flow (.25 .30 or .177 .22) and the reg. pressure. I have also bought the extra air plenum which I can see you have got that on your rifle. I'll install the extra plenum. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you so much again for your extremely useful and informative video.
Hi there , thx for the support. Copying my exact setting might not give the exact same results but here they are anyway: Reg = +/- 137,5 bar HS = at max 16,85mm Transferport = 25/30 Don’t forget I am also using a Huma high flow transferport on the barrel with matching pellet probe .
@@Airbuks Hi, That's really great, thank you so much. Yes, I have the 400mm superior barrel with a thin shroud. You have really helped in another way in that when I was trying to get the barrel off I was only loosening 2 screws (FX manual says two!!!!) but in your video on barrel removal you point out that there is a 3rd screw on top rail (that no body else has pointed out). Brilliant. My other half had it right when she said you must loosen that 3rd screw as well but only after seeing you video did we try it. Barrel came out and the extended plenum is on. My Power Wheel on max = 14.3mm, I'm now on .25/.30, reg. P = 135bars and with 15.89 JSB pellets I'm getting 855ft/s ave.. A 230bars fill seems only to give about 35 shots with the compact bottle (220cc) so I need perhaps to buy a 300cc bottle. Really enjoy your videos - thank you for all your time and support - very much appreciated.
ursine010155 hi , glad my videos helped you out , that’s the reason why I make them 👍 855 FPS with 14,8 mm Hs and 135 bar is a very good result 👍 I believe that the original air tube is only 180cc so that’s very good shotcount. Enjoy the Dreamline because it’s a awesome accurate little bugger 👍
@@Airbuks Hi, Thank you very much. I thought that the compact bottle was 220cc but I think you're right so perhaps I should buy one of the 300cc carbon fibre bottles which should, if my physics is right, give me 66% more shots (roughly 50 shots from 300cc - do you agree?). You should write to FX and tell them there is a 3rd screw on the top which needs taking out to remove the barrel. This is not mentioned in the Owners Handbook. None of the other RU-vidrs pointed this out either! I'm going to install my scope on the new rifle later today so I'll soon know if my particular rifle is accurate. Best wishes.
Enjoy your videos and subscribed. Where did you get the components for the thinner barrel shroud. With the factory barrel configuration of the compact barrel we can’t add a plenum or bottle
Hi , you can specially order them from you retailer , just ask them the compact barrel with thinner shroud . If you have already a compact barrel , I heard this week you can order the shroud separate now aswel and save some money 😉
Hi, can I ask something about short barrel tuning ? I see a lot of peopple that use a general rule to back about 30 fps from maximum speed to finding efficency and harmony, but in a short barrel like 40cm this require more like 45/50 fps less from maximum speed cause of shorter barrel does it make sense? like the shorter barrel is the more fps u need to decrese from maximum speed right?
The backing off of 20fps is in particular for the impact to make sure the valve is limiting the stroke of the valve rod and be more consistent in opening and closing of the valve in relation to the hammer spring tension. A Dreamline doesn’t allow you to adjust the valve travel and so it’s not always true that you need to reduce the fps to get the best accuracy , harmonic balance is affected by many other things
If I may ask a question? So from I've seen you max out the HS using the allen screw until there is no play on the slide bar but you can still turn the dial? Then adjust your regulator to your desired velocity. When you reach your desired velocity, you then back off the allen screw on your Hammer spring right to the point where you get a drop-off and that is your sweet spot? Looks very straightforward, thank you :) Do you recommend doing this tune with the TP on Med or high with the 22.? I was thinking med in case you want to shoot a heavier pellet you can simply open the TP all the way. Also, there is just one thing I don't understand. You dropped your velocity to 856 finishing your tune. But when you did your shot string right after you were back up to 865 again? Did you change the setting?
For the first part you are completely correct 👍🏻 About the 10fps drop is after I cam back from the range testing the accuracy and indeed I dropped it 10fps to get it just that bit more accurate, But this can be slightly different on another barrel 👍🏻
@@Airbuks Thank you for your responses as they are much appreciated. So after your tune was finished at 856 you then brought it back up again to 865 for better accuracy? So your final tune would be at 865 then, correct? Also, would you recommend my idea about doing the tune with the transfer port on Medium? And thanks again. By far yours are the videos I mostly watch on this rifle. They are excellent!
@@mrtrek64 🤔 not 100% sure anymore on where I eventually settled. I believe I left it on 856fps . 865fps was the goal as I tuned it but accuracy on paper is more important and it required to lower the velocity to 856 . I constantly change the setups and did a few other tunes on th Dreamline compact, difficult to keep track as I also have other guns 😉 You can try to tune it on the medium transferport but I know 900fps is about the maximum I could get out of it . Don’t get to pinned on the numbers you see in the video , every gun is a little different and every barrel likes a slightly different speed so take the video as a guideline . Once you go out on the range you can go true the powerwheel and see what gives the best accuracy
@@Airbuks Excellent....You answered my question and concern perfectly. As soon as my new Huma gauges arrive on Thursday I will give my rifle a tune. My goal is shot count and air efficiency. I'm figuring to tune mine to about 780-800. I see no reason to go higher with this short barrel. If I want a bit extra I'll open the TP to max. The way my rifle came tuned it's now shooting 960-970 fps using 14.3 pellets. That's waaay overpowered. As a result, I get only about 34 shots from a 300 cc bottle. Thanks again, Steve
I looked everywhere for that Power Plenum but every time I read the description of the power Plenum they say that it can not be used on the dream tact or dreamline lite but you obviously have use the Plenum on your Dream Tact compact they said it’s not usable obviously it is right.?!
Hi , initially in the beginning it wasn’t possible to fit the power plenum on the Dreamline compact due to the thickness of the shroud. Now days the Dreamline compact gets shipped with a thinner shroud so you can fit a power plenum and a 300cc carbon tank 😉 if you have a thick shrouded barrel I am afraid you will have to order a other compact barrel with thinner shroud 😬
Hey bud, where did you get that piece that goes between the barrel and the tank? I have a dreamline lite, just put a 600mm barrel on it and ordered the fx barrel bracket 34mm and it does not fit. I have the dreamline lite compact 170cc standard bottle. Have any idea where I could get one? Thanks, great video!
The one you see in my video is something I made myself. The barrel band from FX only fits on the tube version of the Dreamline. The tube of the compact is bigger in diameter. Aswel as the shroud
Hi great video, good information. When you got your 865fps and then you went out to shoot groups for accuracy did you have to make anymore adjustments? What happens if you get your desired speed but accuracy is not there? Also does the huma port and probe add efficiency or will it use more air to gain 20-30fps?
@@Airbuks thanks for the reply, so in that case you found that pw5 was best so you leave everything as is and that's it, your gun is 100% setup. You don't touch any settings after that, is that correct
@@fiestamans yes that is correct . I just retune it if I convert it to something else . I have a new video almost ready with a multi purpose tune that I currently have on the Dreamline compact
I guess the same way as I did it ( if you have the powerwheel) or maybe you have a anti temper on a sub 12 that I am not aware of 🤔 . But increasing the HS will possibly get you over sub12 and be illegal if you don’t have a license
Hi Airbuks, I wonder if you can help me! When I was re-installing the trigger assembly on my FX Impact, after reducing the 2nd stage weight, I noticed an air leak from a part which is immediately behind the power wheel and it’s a brass bolt with an Allen key head and has an O-ring which on FX drawings of the Impact is part A24, Art No. 19694 “Brass adapter Impact” and the O-ring is A25, Art No. 19761 O-ring 2,2x1 NBR 70. I’ve managed to purchase the O-ring from an online shop and can now re-install this Brass adapter back. However, I don’t know what its function is, what does it do? I also don’t know whether I should fully tighten it back in place or not? Please can you advise me as to what role this Brass adapter plays within the FX Impact and whether to tighten it down? I look forward to hearing from you and would really appreciate your reply. Thanks again.
Hi , as far as I know this hole is made to be able to machine the action block , so the brass is a plug to close that hole . So I am pretty sure it doesn’t do anything except plugging that hole and so you can screw it in but like any other part on the impact don’t go crazy strong tight is good enough. The oring is what stops the leak
What is the difference comparing to a .25 cal. I got one plenum and original bottle. The airconsumption 5 bar/shot. 850 fps 120 bar regulator preassure JSB 25,46 gn. Just over one magasine per fill. Anyone hatching on a tune.
Since the AMP regulators you should be able to decrease the pressure 1/4 turn at a time and take some shots in between to cycle the regulator, but I always degas the whole system just to be safe
erwino024 normally not , the plenum is before the regulator. I had a similar leak at the plenum for a while and I turned out to be the orings that are around the piece that holds the valve and spring in place
I have the newer model. Why is it mine wont go higher than 840 when tunning. I tried everything. It hits 830 consistantly and after that sometimes hits 840 peak.
Thanks, yes i tried that. What i did today was put HS to its max. I had forgotten i could adjust that with small allen wrench. I got little more power. It went to 860 max. But not acurate enough. Brought it down to 835 with the HS adjustment and 135 reg preasure. Bit more acurate but still not consistant acurate at 70 yards with 18 gr jsb on 22 cal. Came down to 805 and a bit more acurate. Less power but more acurate. I stoped there. Used up my tin can. I still cant figure out why 3 pellets hit really acurate and then suddenly it gets wierd. Hits again 3 more and then happens again not acurate. All the while the reading is from 795 to 805. 801 pretty steady.
By the way i also modified the prob myself today for more air. I think i did a good job but maybe i should try buying the Huma Air like yours. There arent many videos on this gun. I have an fx impact too and am familiar with the system. Thanks for your reply
@@nephtalilucero8084 🤔 difficult to assess the problem not seeing the DL myself. Have you tried putting the reg at150 ? With that short barrel you need quite a lot off pressure
@@Airbuks thanks, yea i tried that. I was wondering maybe because i added a power plenum to it. I saw on you tube someone else was getting 800 as well. Not sure Could be they changed something from the first ones that came out. I noticed you have the original model that first came out. Ill keep testing for acuracy and see what happens. Could be because short barrel. Ill order a longer barrel in the 25 cal also. Thanks!
Hey bro if i buy a stock dreamlime tact carbon 22 with power plenum max hammer spring max setting on transfer and regulator what is the max ft lbs i can get?
Great video ! My new fx dreamline tactical compact has the new dials , being low, medium, high and hammer is 1 to 23 , makes it aliitle confusing with all the videos and instructions using the older set up
I marked how deep te probe good inside the transferport , to it apart , put the probe in the transferport to the mark you just made , mark true the transferport the whole size on the probe and use a dremmel to mod the probe . Or wait abit for Huma to come out with the matching probe 😉
Thanks! I am sturgling to get over 830fps with hades. I have the huma air bigger port and fx power plenum. Running 150bar fully open and cannot get more out of it than 830fps. Have tried to adjust the hammerspring. Runnin also the stock 300mm stx. Not the superior as I cannot find any 300mm superior liners.
I have the huma air v2 transferport. That is why I am wondering is there something wrong in my setup. Before the transferport it was 810-820fps. Now with the trasferport 825-835. Have tried max hammer spring and no boost in fps. Also low hammerspring tension and still stuck in that range. Running 150bar. Thanks already that you answer these questions!
