That was a really good initial review of this air rifle and I liked the way you explained how to put it together. What baffles me is how a company like FX got it wrong with the carbon bottle. These guys are normally that innovative I don’t begrudge what I pay for their guns but this was a monumental failure on such a cleverly designed gun. Surely it can’t have been overlooked in the design stage? Has anybody actually challenged them on this. I certainly won’t be buying this gun until a solution has been found, much as I love it.
Hi , thx for the kind words 👍 I have spoken to FX and I have seen since yesterday some pictures pop up with that setup . The initial idea of them was to have a smaller cylinder and a bigger shroud to fill the gap between it . I guess they will be making compact barrels with a thin shroud so there is room for the power plenum and a carbon tank 👍

I have my fx dreamline tactical compact, is peace of art I bought on Ebay a 300cc bottle 5.5cm by 26cm and Ohio airgun sell the valve for the bottle use the same us impact work perfectly and i double the shots for less money the fx bottle

@@Airbuks 890-900 FPS with the FX Hybrids without PP? Thats damn fast! I've thought that will be possible only with PP. And how are shots groupings? I'm considering to buy the Dreamline barrel kit for my Dreamtac Compact because with the short standard barrel and Hybrids i can get max 710 FPS and thats not enough to stabilize them and the groupings are not good... With JSB Hades performs the gun awesome on 840 FPS.
PS 15 to archive the 890 FPS with the 600mm you need a regulator pressure of +- 145-150 and adjust your HS until you speed stops going up . The .22 I very capable of shooting slugs since the Dreamline is made to shoot .30 pellets
Love the looks of your DLT! Planning on picking one up soon, I think I will get the Sumo suppressor too. Really looks the part. Have you tried a slimline carbon bottle with the check valve from Best Fittings?
No , but I have made a version with a original fix 300cc cf bottle and a slim barrel 😉 i have videos of it somewhere on my channel and with the sumo attached 👍🏻
nicimoyou it all depends on wat pellet you use , barrel length , regulator settings , hammer spring etc ... I can’t give you a exact figure because FX guns are so tunable
I just received my FX Dreamline from Utah Air Guns last week. The rifle came tuned from the store shooting 15.83 grain 880FPS. My trigger, hammer, transfer port are both set to Max. My regulator is set to 125 BAR. With this set up I barely make it through my 18 shot magazine with the air in my cylinder depleting to the point where my regulator pressure starts to drop as well. At this point, I stop shooting as per the instruction manual. Does anyone know if this sounds right? Should my air cylinder be depleted to the point where my regulator pressure starts dropping after only 13-16 shots? I haven't changed any of the settings because I will not tinker with something I do not fully understand.....YET. I'm trying my best to learn how all these settings work together, and how adjusting one will affect the other. If anyone can tell me about my shot count situation I would be grateful for any information. Thank you.
I am afraid the tuning is abit off 🤔 with the original 170cc airtube you should be able to get at least 30-35 shots . But I would set the regulator a lot higher to about 145-150 bar

Do you recommend the Sumo by DonnyFL or can I get any moderator from DonnyFL like the Tatsu which is a little more compact.. I'm just a little worried about how much sound will be attenuated.. I want the most quiet but the aesthetics is also a plus but if Sumo is recommended.. I'm definitely interested in the Sumo
I only have experience with the sumo and it makes a huge difference on my Dreamline compact . The thing with airgun silence is that the bigger the volume the quieter it gets . But I am just a amateur in this tech . If I was you send Donny FL a mail with your needs and ask what they recommend. They are a awesome company and will help you our for sure
Hiya, the dream tac as it is in the video with the small cylinder does the small cylinder have the bottle checkvalve in it that's removable?....so you can remove the valve from the cylinder and attact it to a carbon fiber bottle and put a bottle on?
The small cylinder has a check valve , but why do you want to go such a difficult way 🤔 I have a video with a Dreamline compact build that has a 300cf tank
@@Airbuks I have a 500cc carbon fiber bottle and was thinking if I get the compact with small cylinder I can remove it take the valve of the cylinder and put it on the 500cc bottle put a thinner shroud on and put bottle on the compact...or I could buy the one with a longer slimmer barrell and 500cc steel cylinder and remove the valve from that and put it on the carbon fiber bottle put bottle on and have barrell shortened...here in the UK we have set models... compact with small cylinder...compact with long cylinder... compact with steel bottle and compact with carbon fibre bottle.
Thx for the tip but I tried and it’s a no go . The barrel is differently assembled then a normal barrel . If you remove the shroud you you have straight access to the liner 😏
Dan praat je dus over rond de 35 joule vermogen met jsb exact. Ben zelf aan het twijfelen tussen de normale tactical en de compact. Ben dus benieuwd wat de compact doet aan schoten met de originele korte drukbuis. Ook heb ik nog een vraag, kun je de drukbuis/fles verwijderen zonder dat die leegloopt oftewel zit er een klep op de Fles/buis of alleen draad en loopt die gewoon leeg?

Hi just my fx compact too love it but my hammer spring dial keeps getting loss I change from min to max depending on job. I would like to know the ft/S on max power dial and min power dial I'm getting 11.34footpound but that was just a five shot chrony and on max power 17.78 footpund also a 6 shot chrony. The reason I am aski g for thoes specific power is that I think my hammer spring dial must have slipped due to the fact that the screw got loss. I dnt K ow if it is giving me the correct power settings or its just all messed up.
Can you help? I have no regulator pressure, there is tank pressure and I hear a leak from the adjustment screw. I stripped the brass adjustment screw already just got the rifle today
Difficult to answer the Dreamline is very compact for a very powerful magazine fed pcp , the leshiy has its own place . The leshiy is even more compact and powerful single shot . I like both of them I can transform the DL in minutes from compact to a full size bench gun or a compact backyard plingker/ pestgun . But the leshiy always comes with me hiking/camping because of the relatability and robustness . It all depends on what you are looking for 😉

yeah that will help, still not sure it will push out to the distances slugs are meant for. Report back on how it works for you. I'd be interested in hearing how slugs shoot with both barrels quite honestly. I have a Crown and looking to get this gun to compliment it.
@@jc51373 I have the DreamTac Compact also in .22 and the short standard barrel is really struggling with the FX Hybrids. The groups aren't disastrous at approx. 705 fps, but also not good. There are always strange flyers, and it looks like the slugs are not stabilized enough. The Dreamline barrel kit in .22 is 500 mm and it should be capable to rise the speed almost to 800 fps. The guys from Air Hunters channel have tried it with such setup and it was enough to shoot the FX Hybrids properly. There is also possibility of the new Dreamline power plenum which should rise the speed around 900 fs... :)
If ur thinking about buying an Fx air gun know this their customer service sucks. They don't return emails or phone calls and how I Know this is I own one had a problem with it and couldn't get help. And for what FX cost you would think they would help Their customers. Air Force airguns is a much better option their customers service is exceptional and they are made in America
Mmm 🤔 strange , I guess we have different experiences with the FX customer service .i contacted customer service Sweden . I had to deal 3 times with them and every time the where very helpful and sended me the parts or info I needed .
As we don't have FX representative here in Croatia I contacted FX Sweden directly and they were very fast with answer and they sent me some parts free of charge. Maybe there is problem with representatives but FX as company gives great support
