the slug accuracy depends on speed and twist of the barrel , slugs needs more rotation`s. the grizly is in some guns very accurat ,h&n makes also slugs in different diameters in a caliber ,ive got the same right under groups ,when the gun was sighted in with jsb pellets
Grizzlies .25 caliber were the pellets I bought when I purchased a Hatsan BT65QE. I bought some other kind of pointed pellets in .25 cal as well. After shotting my new airgun for a weekend I was ready to sell it . Could not hit the same spot twice with them. The BT65QE is one of the most powerful .25 caliber air rifles on the market. So you would think those grizzlies would be ideal but then I picked up some JSB's and everything changed 180 degrees. It is a magnum tack driver. Grizzlies I have not picked them up again. I dont think there is an airgun that prefers Grizzlies. H&N Barracudas are also good. JSB I think are the best. They seem to perform in all brands of airguns over all other pellets.
3:19 it´s an info for shooters who has restrictions power vice / England, Germany, Poland.... putt this round in a sub 12 fpe gun ...it stuck in the barrel and maybe destroy the seal/s Great vid Trucker kollege !!!

The H&N Grizzly 31.4 grain slugs shoot great out of my Air Venturi Avenger, Hatsan Bullboss, and even my LCS SK-19. Trick is tho keep them in the very high 800s to over 900 FPS. The SK-19 can push them to nearly 1140 FPS with no change in accuracy either. Yep...very impressed with these economical slug also. They will shoot the same hole oddly enough if those speed parameters are kept in these guns. Never tried them in a FX barrel but the 12 grove LW style barrels seem to like them as does the Polygonal barrels from LW. Everyone needs a good affordable round that works great for 50-80 yards. Glad they are working out for you in that barrel.
Good to see you back Uncle. You need to remove that thing in front of your barrel it messes with your harmonics. I had good results with the grizzlies but only @ 995fps
I edit the sound so it doesn't blow your ears out if your wearing headphones, sounds a little different irl. the tune was good on setting B, but had too much hammer spring on the higher settings. could do with a more comprehensive fine tune but this was really just to see if the slugs had potential.
Hey bud if you want to try a slower round try a H&N Crow Magnum. 26.28 grain I think...They are very inexpensive like 6.99$ USD inexpensive. I have shot them down to 670-680 and well up past 900-1000 FPS. Or so...with my SK-19s Poly barrel...so still I have no idea how they are in a FX barrel. They would be wicked on toads for sure. Huge hollow point brother just huge. One of the biggest hollows I have seen from any manufacturer.
I forgot I am using a standard airacuda in .25 and for all the people that believe when people say a “budget” airgun won’t shoot slugs that’s misinformation my gun was $300 and my neighbor has a $1500 FX and the JTS is definitely on par accuracy wise he has a decent advantage muzzle energy wise making about 65-70 but I’m perfectly fine with the 45-48 mine makes out of the box honestly the only thing I’m jealous of is that shot count but I could do something about it so it’s no loss…. All the data out there is subjective and every gun is different but you definitely don’t need to be flying slugs at 950-1000 fps for them to work or any of that there really are no shortcuts if you want to know what will work for you in your gun you just have to feed it and see😂

Ive been wondering about the HN grizzleys now I know thanks. can I ask if the bipod you got from Hermans (carbon one) is still going good ? no issues? I still don't have a bipod yet stupidly.... so I need to sort that out and if yours is still good ill probably pull the trigger on it. cheers bud.
thanks i was thinking of getting these as they are only £6 per tin in England. Have you tried the JSB KO yet? I was testing the .22 version in my 500mm Wildcat mk3 (superior) and even at only 820fps I got bored at 100yrds getting a single smudge on my painted steel - All I could go out to was 140 yards today, and holy moly, the group opened a little but I still got overlapping pellets marks. So something strange but super is going on with them. I did also test them in my .22 500mm Crown at the same speed but at 140yards - waste of time - so I went back to the Wildcat and got slug on slug action again. planning on winding out to 200 this week.... so the lesson for me is to stick with pellets in m Crown. the KO's are dearer than the Grizzlys but half the price of FX slugs . in 22 you get 200 in a tin!
Actually I think the minimum muzzle energy is probably meant as a guide for which rifles can actually fire them effectively. And which ones they're too heavy for. At least that's my guess.
Lots of people have messaged me and said they had their best results under 900fps aswell. The superior liner seems to shoot everything better from what i hear but i dont think more speed helps with these bad boys. They were terrible at 950fps
@@meatheadmarksman2013 I was thinking of around 1025fps. I haven't shot slugs or even the hybrids through my Superior barrel yet. So that number is just picked up from all the videos I have watched.
I ordered a can just because for $6 I can’t lose 😂 they’ll work for a raccoon from 20 yards almost certainly even my .25 FX hybrid slugs can handle that even though they won’t do anything like group on a target at 30 yards😂….. best I can think of is the muzzle energy is the minimum to propel them but I have no idea honestly
Hi Mate, been trying to get some info on the max velocity one could get on a 55 grain projectile/slug off a MK1 with a power plenum please. I know this is a bit off topic here but my power plenum is on a 4-month back order ...... just eager to know what your velocity experience is please! Thanks a ton
I have not used an fx power plenum yet mate, mine is custom after market plenum which is bigger then the fx plenum. I put a large aftermarket plenum on a MK1 impact recently (also bigger then the fx plenum) and it was easily capable of punching the 52gr jsb 30 cal pellet over 1000fps. The new 35 cal with power plenum is shooting 80gr at 860fps i think so it should push a 55gr at 950-1000fps. BUT REMEMBER, I havnt actually used an FX power plenum so take that as a guess. probably best to ask on a facebook group or a forum and hear from someone with a 30 cal power plenum
I am getting about 850 fps on the .25 jsb 34 grain pellets with the mk1 original plenum ...... may be able to bump it a bit further with some more tuning!? These pellets are pretty stable at that velocity and a grouping of around an inch at 90 yards
@@syidmuhmoodullah3809 should be able to shoot them alot faster then that but if they are grouping well I wouldn't change it. The groups are the most important thing after all!

My .25 31 grn Grizzlys slugs cost me £5 per 150. Shooting through my FAC maverick at 1050fps, NO PROBLEMS !!!!!!! Better than the 'wayward' JSB KING pellets, & Air Arms Diablo Fields.
Hi, An update to my previous mail (Year ago) about H & N slugs in my FAC FX Maverick..25...............I have discarded the H & N slugs & for the last 10 months I have been achieving superb results by using ZAN 33grn slugs through the Maverick which I have had tuned, NOW developing 65fpe, still using the standard 600mm Smooth twist barrel.....
There Joule limit is there to make sure even a muppet can see they shouldn't be shot through a low power (12ftlb) gun and if you do they can be sued when you get them stuck in the barrel.
Dont have to be sorry with me mate, if you say you didnt enjoy going to gun room I believe you. Fyiw rebel gun works apparrntly has the h&n slugs too so that might be a better option for ya
