I just purchased the Ixia Compact for £739 free delivery ,what a fantastic hunting rifle ,added the A & M Twink C to it and it's silent but for hammer ,it's in. 22 and puts pellet on pellet at 25m using JSB Hades , as good as an Impact...... not quite but way better value ,carbon bottle too 😊
Picked mine up from my local'ish dealer onSat 22Jan22. Cleaned the barrel, slapped a spare scope on and out to the range today (Sunday). 5 shots to centre on the target and then next 5 shots at 25yds in under 1/4 inch. Found it was a bit ammo sensitive- tried 8 different tins - worst group was just under an inch. But wow. Worth every penny with the right ammo..

I am not a gun snob. I have Always gone for, functionality over form. Obviously build quality is important. Is the FX twice the quality of the Reximex. It certainly couldn’t be as accurate, even in .177. You can’t get better than pellet on pellet. I am interested in why you would pay over twice the price for an FX. 😊
You paying for things like a regulator. Smoother cocking, more crisp trigger etc. also don’t forget that labour in Sweden will be far more than Turkey. For comparison. All cars go forward and backward. But some are nicer to drive 😊
@@wighillparkgunstv2257 I agree. The cost of labour in Sweden is more than in Turkey. However, I am not paying for the labour, I am paying for the rifle, its component parts and how it performs. There are a lot of very good budget rifles coming out of Turkey that are giving the so-called premium brands a run for their money.
cheers mate I got my ixia on the 7th I'm pretty sure its really new. the first person I've seen other than reximex themselves post about it. subscribed. and you can get a carbon tank at 470cc I believe, also the sound moderator is the entire barrel it's self integrated, awesome technology. in my personal opinion, you'd be insane not to buy a reximex "ixia" I've hit shot on shot the same hole more than I have in my entire life within 7 days!
Hi, I'm considering one of the ixia rifles , the only thing I'm unsure of is what does the rifle feel like in the hands ? ,Would you say it's assembled well from the factory, also the fit and finish ,is the lever smooth and sturdy and are the metal materials the gun is built from the same finish ,hope yours is holding up and performing well .
@@aboutthemetal8783 its got a stippled pistol grip really nice to hold gives you a firm grip and its surprisingly well balanced for an air rifle. i put a bipod underneath it and it's quite firm and sits well while shooting. hope this helps :)
Good video. I am interested in the Reximex, USA full power version, of course, not the neutered UK peashooter version.. That thing looked pretty good at SHOT Show and the price is right. Tip: When you mount scopes and want to test for accuracy, you should really take the time to level them properly (Wheeler kits are cheap) and also torque down your screws to spec (usually 15-18 in/lbs). Wheeler also makes an excellent torque screwdriver. Cheers from the USA.
@@simonnoble7589 Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh If you've got a sub 12fpe gun, not much you can do with it. You're certainly not taking out coyotes with it..... probably not even racoons...
Just watched this as been interested in the New Ixia. Good vid mate but can I just say one thing about being fair. I think you could make the group better on the Ixia. If you look at the difference between the time you place your cheek on the rifle and releasing the shot, it’s nearly double on the FX over the Ixia. So I’d say not a fair comparison on that point. It still a good vid mate just an observation. Nice range too.

@@michaelbattin6717 You can see, & he said MX had Factory Suppressor, Reminix Did'nt, but is Threaded for one, yeah funny how people don't seem to trust a guy doing a SIMPLE REVIEW that his reputation relies on locally, the Actual Chronied Speed ! is what's needed, not a Close Measured Air Vol, Preasure, reading 🙄, so the guy could do his own calcucations * Engineer, Accountant, Brained Always Have to do that with EVERYTHING ! * it can be Anoying at times, like an insecure control personality. RATHER THAT POWER, WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO SEE ACTUAL VELOCITIES FOR CONSISTENCY. (Sorry, not yelling-caps lock was on) otherwise a great video. I'm in US and these are the 2 rifles I've been looking at and hard for me to justify the extra $1000 since I won't be competing.
We have to stop this madness of testing 22 caliber air guns with 14g, 18g, 20g, etc. 22caliber has to be with 40g slugs. and see what the speed is, if it is less than 1000 feet per second, there is something wrong with the rifle.
Thanks for taking the time to comment. In England, a non licensed air rifle cannot be over 12 ft lbs of energy. That roughly translates to 550fps with a 14.5gr pellet. 40gr would be too heavy. And a 40gr slug would drop like a stone.
To be perfectly honest. The only common problems with any PCP are occasional leaks. However I’d say the speed in which Reximex are repaired under warranty is faster than that of FX. In the UK anyway

Watching with baited breath! I've got a reximex and cannot adjust the 2nd stage of the trigger as the stock needs removing. Sounds easy but you cannot remove the adjustable trigger hammer dial without the spring flying out by the looks of it?!
Sounded as though you were a little biased an favored the FX... I understand it's a nice gun, are you sponsored by Fx? Just being honest because the Reximex is 1/3 the price and honesty was more accurate no matter the caliber it shot hole through hole 3 times, there's plenty of 177 cals that don't come close to that! The real question would be if the reximex had dual plenums! But I'd bet my money that a 22 cal reximex would still shoot hole through hole! Fx is a great gun, but it's also overpriced, an much of that's because of the name "FX"
Personally I’d only do a comparison using the same calibre and the same scope. Two different scopes on two different calibres not a fair comparison at any range
El pcp reximex ixia o throne es un muy buen rifle cuando logras setearlo bien y encuentras la combinacion exacta entre potencia y peso del pelets .puedes llegar a colocar una posta sobre otra inclusive a mas de 70 mtrs........pero seamos realistas un FX es comparable solo con otro FX.....saludos desde Chile❤❤
hi wighill , with the impact you ca shot 700 shots in 16 joule = 11 f/bs , how much is the shot count for the reximex in 11 f/bs =16 joule how much shot per fill ??

I have a walther rotex rm8 varmint in 7.5 joules I can use it to make 180-200 shots with a 232cc bottle, how is it possible that you can only make 180 shots with the reximex thrones 2 with a 480cc carbon bottle in 12 ft/lb ?
You did'nt mention Speed of Rounds, and you're only shooting @ 25ft Rite, my Daisy 880 BB Pellet rifle from 1971 & is Still made today * Selling for $38 now with Prices UP After Clov'ed Bug Economy * WOULD SHOOT About THAT GOOD @ 50' + EVERY DAY FOR THE MANY YEARS & TONS of SHOOTING, HUNTING, I did as a kid, Almost Never missed a shot unless i flinched, shot many a lil Red Squirrel through its Nut, Birds, Crows, in Top of Tall Pines it STILL Shot Tightly when i'd finally sold it to a friend 10 yrs later, for almost what my Dad paid for it. With All the Precision Machinery, Engineering, Materials, etc used, i'd EXPECT NO. LESS ACCURACY AT SUCH DISTANCES, & what i see some of your fellow Airpower Aces Shoot'n & kill'n Hyrax, Monkeys, Birds, @ 100, 200 yrds, Meters with Consistant Head Shots & Pretty Tight 1.4 Moa & Some Better Groups @ those ranges, those Rifles need to SHOW Results at Greater Distances than 25, 50, feet for either amount of $/ £'s, Ayuh
Great video, liked and subscribed. Is the RexiMex made by Rex in Mexico? First time I hear about the brand, and I've been around air guns for over 60 years. I like the price and will order one as soon as I get the specifications such as Cylinder volume and fill pressure Barrel length Regulator pressure if it has one, and if so, is it adjustable? Plenum volume too, if it has one pellet mass, velocity, total shot count with velocity, or energy of each shot. Numbers do not lie, but you can lie with numbers. I enjoyed the video introducing me with this new brand, to my world of ignorance and I am liking it. I think I enjoyed the comments a little more than the video. If you claim something that you know is wrong and meant to deceive then you are lying, and that's how Mexico lost 53% of its territory to manifest destiny. if you believe you are correct and are mistaken then you are in error, which I rather hear from someone than from a lier. For example: (Cylinder psi - Regulator psi) x 1.24 (a constant at room temperature) x volume in cylinder in liters x 4 an average foot pound energy per grain pf air divided by 12 fpe equals shot count. The efficiency will vary depending on a balanced tune for shot count, but not necessarily for accuracy as accuracy may require a higher velocity and thus less efficiency for shot count. For example, a 175 Bar regulated shot that puts out approximately 150 fpe will have an efficiency of less than 1 fpe per grain of air. Why do air gun reviews not give the air in grains per shot? Because the math is too hard and the numbers will give a full description of the gun, and many guns just won't sell. Remember the sales gimmick of this gun shoots faster than the speed of sound, which is stupid for accuracy purposes and they do not tell you the shot was with a 4 grain non lead, but an alloy that they call hyper super duper velocity. Just like fpe incorporates the projectile mass and velocity, the grains of air describe the quality of the gun's tune and balance along with the close tolerances of the build and materials used. The old adage goes: You get what you pay for, and many times you paid too much. The laws of physics are not just really good ideas. If some of you are wondering why grains of air are so important as a gauging and metrology tool, its because a grain of air is a grain of air at any volume, pressure, or temperature. Its the n in the gas law with lambda 1.394 or rounded to 1.4. Read my book as soon as its out, its almost finished. Stay safe and Godspeed. FJB Out
You’re also comparing a .22 to a .177. A waltther rm8 at £400 would match it on accuracy out to 40m. What’s your point. So many companies are trying to shift yet another shite air rifle.
