Excellent clear demo & explanation! Ive got up to 12 pedals on my board and wanted to get clearer sound and more definition and powerful boost. This should help! Thanks
Interesting demonstration! It's all subjective and a matter of personal taste of course but I would tend to have delays and reverbs post-gain for most applications. Whereas I usually use modulation in front of the amp as I find they can sound a bit sterile in the loop. Especially as I use phaser & flanger more than anything. But again, no right or wrong answer!
I really can’t believe I didn’t know this. I seldom used the loop until recently when I put away my guitar processor and dug out my old analog pedals I had a looper n the effects loop and I noticed that I couldn’t adjust the equalization. All makes perfect sense now. I do still have one question though. about filter effects and wah wah . I’m thinking they should go through the front rather than in the effects loop . But I would like to know if this is correct?
I found out that in order to use a external preamp or even a Audio interface with Bias FX2 going into the amp return of a Blackstar head (HT Club 50 MKII), you need to plug a dummy plug in the guitar input. It seems that the send/return doesn't work if there's nothing connected to the amp input. Do you know what exactly is the dummy plug? pr any other work around? Thank you!
Can you use just the input of the FX loop coming from one of the outputs of a stereo pedal and have a stereo(nothing in the main input) setup using 2 amps, or would the output from the pedal need to go into the amp input?
If anyone is still viewing this video 3+ years after the fact, does anyone know the brand/model of guitar used in the demo? Not typically my guitar type preference, but I am impressed by how it looks, if nothing else. The headstock name looks like it might begin with a 'V', but can't get a clear enough view of it. I have searched all guitar manufacturers whose names begin with a 'V', but have found nothing that makes sense.
I have an HT Stage 60 Mkii and I ended up buying regular pedals. I could not get the effects processor to sound good at all either in the front of the amp or in the effects loop.
Thanks for the comment! Within the Silverline range only the larger Deluxe, Stereo Deluxe and Deluxe Head models have fx-loop functionality. Hope this helps!
