I’m Danish and I was so ashamed that I didn’t even watch Eurovision this year. He is a comedian, not a singer and they are singing about having sex together just to practice. I don’t think they even expected to make it to Eurovision, it was kind of Denmark DOGE coin this year, the GENz’es loved them and that’s why it won in Denmark. I didn’t expect it to make to the finals, let’s hope for a better year next year.

If you want to invest in stock and bonds who do you trust? Professional accountants and financiers or regular people? If you want to learn about any subject who do you trust? Professional teachers and professors or regular people? Likewise, the juries are composed of people *working in music and with years of experience* - all of which vote independently from each other. Who do you believe understand what's a good composition and performance - those professionals working in music or the tone deaf audience tuning in to the ESC every year? 90% of the votes come from teens anyway. As for your comment. Look up something called "confirmation bias" - that's what you're using now.

Surely you can agree that sometimes we want to measure what the people want? Or do you also prefer countries to abolish democracy and be run by expert rule instead? What is the point of selecting for songs that a few experts like? The point of songs and entertainment in general is exactly to give good feelings to *all* *people* , not just a few experts. Now, some people will feel more strongly about the songs than others, and each person can only vote once per song, and the people in smaller countries have more voting power, etc., so the televote does not perfectly capture the underlying popularity of a song, but clearly it does that much better than the jury vote.

I think we might have lost some votes to the fact that Sweden and Norway were in the other semifinal, thus not watching this one. Almost all the balkan countries were in this one, of course voting for each other

Indeed. People wanted this to qualify. I sent a vote from Spain and we gave 5 points to Denmark. I hope we'll hear Danish again sometime

I was going to vote for them but I couldn’t do that because Ukraine was not allowed to vote in the second semi final apparently because we were in the first semi final! 😱

They have built quite the following since Eurovision. Their album debut at no1 in Denmark which is a big deal over there. Their winner in 2013 is a 1 hit wonder yet these guys are doing really well so it goes to show how well they could have done in the grand final

Just before that move, he was singing “I practiced my dance moves at home” POSE, hahaha the whole song was just one big joke and about having fun. I was not happy with this song winning and representing Denmark this year, I hope for better times next year

They were chanting Finland not Denmark. There has been at least one Dutch person who was in the audience explained that if it was Denmark, the sound would be Denemarken, which would be much longer, since the most people there are Dutch.
