No worries Matt on the monster thing because you forgot to throw any axes in your shooting phase altogether along with not rerolling all hit rolls for double axes.
Matt letting a nice person playing a list that doesn't make much sense against a fully fletched list, while also trying to lure him to wrong decisions like 1:07:40 "these 4 have attacked, but this other squad - that will do nothing - hasn't" so what made sense for him was to attack the squad that ALREADY attacked AND had 2+ save.. So glad you failed the save roll. Can't believe you even enjoy winning games like this
19:50 "Not at least before the second guy." Proceeds to roll for all three, rolling enough damage from any two out of three d3s to kill a troll, which would have ment the third lizard's 3 would have been greater than their number of 2 and he wasn't the one getting -1 to his roll, because that was the first newt puking. 2-3 Mortals for free and would you look at that. The last one had "only 3-4 Wounds left" for the last maw attack's d3 that just instakilled the last troll and it didn't get to fight back. "Lucky"...
It is unbelievable how hard he wants to cheat even the nicest guy just to win a game that doesn't give him anything at all as a prize besides making a fool of himself. Sad
I'm currently doing an Ogor Mawtribes Army and bought my self a squad of Rockgut Troggoths because Ogors can take them as Allies, I was thinking of collecting beasts of chaos as my next army but then I remember that Troggoths can be their own army with the Gloomspite Gitz. Seeing this video and how an army of Troggoths work makes me rethink what I am going to get as an third army (First one is Kharadron Overlords)
There's a good reason - so they don't take up Behemoth slots. Troggoths would be too limited at lower points levels if the big ones were all Behemoths. Even at 2,000 points it would be restrictive.
Dislike how accurate models can shoot whilst in combat. Surely some negative modifier would make sense? Same with shooting into combat. Oh well. Good game, shame about the poor giant T1.
If there's any army that really needs to be damaged before entering combat, it's the Fyreslayers. If you can't magic or shoot them, you're gonna have a terrible time.
I want to clear something up. Putting 2 guys in basecontact with another model does NOT stop them from moving since if something has to move or has an ability or whatever kind of thing it is, the player's who's pile in or whatever it is gets to pick between the two models which they count as being closer and thus can pile in no matter what.
F L this is incorrect! Check out the Designers Commentary for Core rules; page 5, last paragraph: You have to Keep base Contact, or get closer to both models if they are equal distance - if this is impossible, you can’t move...
why not take the scrapskuttle cauldron for that 50 pts instead? you can learn hand of gork and potentially teleport a unit onto the objective or get an itchy nuisence off
Trolls seem really underpowered, like if only a few rolls on matts side were better they woulda just been flat out anihilated. Not to say fyreslayers are almost like ogres in their rediculous amount of rules.
Well troll are still better then bullgors both in offence and defence while costing the same.... But yah monstrous infantry tends to be rather bad.... Only destruction Ogres and Ironjaw brutes seem ot be worth their points.
The small trolls are really good for their cost. The big trolls are super overcosted, the giant as well. If he'd taken more fellwaters or rockguts for the price of the 3 big models he can easily have gotten almost 12 more small strolls. The hag is neat but also costs like 9 small trolls by herself. The dankboss got lucky with survival setup, but you can instead make him an offensive bully
She does, but the battalions specify when it's a keyword and when it's a unit. In this case it is a Fellwater Troggoth unit, not a unit with the Fellwater keyword.
Unfortunately not. If you look at the battalions in the battletomes you’ll see that some of the units listed are in bold small caps. Those are keywords, and any unit with that keyword can be taken. If it uses normal font, then it is referring to a unit name, and only that unit can be taken. The hag is not a Fellwater Troggoth unit, she is a Troggoth Hag with the fellwater and Troggoth keywords.
I dunno about that (underwhelming battalion scrolls) - I think Warrior Kinband is pretty good, in the sense that you are going to be taking Vulkites anyway, and with 2 wounds apiece taking some in smaller units are more viable now than they used to be. True it's hardly mind blowing, but it's a nice enough little extra for things you are (or should be) taking anyway.
The guest player apparently looks like Drew Carey. In the Drew carey show, at the end of the opening credits you can hear Drew Carey shout "Ohio!" which in Japanese (Ohayou Gozaimasu) is good morning. You can now sleep at night.
Ignoring the dankhold boss lookout sir and doubling damage basically swung the game entirely . Also as someone pointed out you dont get bonus rend on range attacks.
The rule I have in my battle reports is two-fold: 1. Dropped dice never count. 2. If a dice is not perfectly level, but it's obvious what the top number is (which is 90% of "cocked" dice that I see out there), then we keep it. If there is ANY dispute we reroll.
