In this trip we explored the remote Old Dale Mining District near Joshua Tree National Park. This area offers access to a lot of well-preserved mines like the “Brooklyn Mine”, the “Gold Standard Mine”, the “Los Angeles Mine” and many others. It also features an amazing variety of off-road trails (difficulty level 1 to 6) and on our first trip we managed to get lost for a short moment but because of that we found one the best camp sites you can image. What a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the sunset after a full day behind the steering wheel. Unfortunately we were not well prepared so we actually missed the most interesting mine called “Brooklyn Mine” so we will definitely go back to check this one out ;-).
