Had the pleasure of meeting G-Eazy backstage in Seattle at Bumbershoot 2016. He talked briefly about how he never knew what to do with his hands in pictures or when rapping. The conversation was less than 5 mins, but we were able to connect over the human experience and the feeling of insecurity that even people at the highest levels struggle with. I was shocked by how vulnerable he was able to be having never met me before. What he didn't know was that he was one of my main musical influences at the time.
I feel like people giving him crap just because of what happened with him and Halsey. when Halsey had issues before his issues came to arise, now do I condone cheating. No, but I'd blame him because he wanted halsey to stop trying fix him that push him away.
Bro is more than a just a human, most humans are braindead and immature and hardwired to a lot of stupid shit and do not bother if their actions cause harm to others or not. This human is one of those humans who tries to do good to others in need. You gotta love these Humans
I saw G Eazy at the Filmore in San Francisco over a decade ago. The place was too hotboxed so the fire department came. G Eazy somehow still finished the show.
Pepole over hate G hes a good dude. Aswell as stevo both have had issues and have overcome them, glad to see the link up and a conversation between them.
Wow, that is inspiring! Now that I know that a wigger artist doesn’t stop a show early despite being slightly tired, I’m ready to seize the day! Thanks, Felix. Ps, assuming you’re South African, just want to say thanks for all the artistic exports you’ve given the world. Tbh, I can’t think of a single one right now, but I know there’s tons.
@@Ppluvr215 How old even are you bro? This reads like an ignorant pre-teen with too much spite. Keep that energy and you’re gonna have a miserable life..
1:03:10 Preach, Seen you grow since 2010, MySpace days, one of my favorite artists ever since. You are one of the most humble human beings I have ever met, self-reflective, with an unmatched work ethic. So proud of you and what you have been able to accomplish along your journey. Your experimental pieces of art are some of the most meaningful and any critic who has switched up on you doesnt have the eyes to see the eclectic culture that you and your creations represent. A Class Act human being, truly One of a Kind! 👏
I can’t wait until the day comes when my fear and anxiety become a fire under my ass. Because living like this is just… not living. Almost like I’m a plane on autopilot or something. And I have ppl that depend on me, HEAVILY. So that weight peppered with life’s other obstacles is making me feel like I’m drowning in shark infested waters, with an opened wound, and no land insight. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest. Hope this comment section was/is a safe place to do so.
I know you posted a month ago but I wanted to reply. I hope you're doing well. I'm dealing with similar stuff but we're strong. I had major surgery about a month ago so waiting to recover fully has been hard. I know I'll make it and so will you. Other people hide what they're going through. Sometimes it makes you feel like you're the only one dealing with a neverending battle. It's not true. I really wish you the best in overcoming everything. People need to support each other more and I wish you strength, happiness, and peace of mind.
RIP IN PEACE TO YOUR MOM BROTHER MOMS ARE THE BEST In my opinion this is the realest deepest part of you I ever saw on video keep your head up G As Always God Bless ❤️❤️🙏🙏
i feel really bad about G Eazy you see him get really emotional about what people were saying about him because he's not as popular as he used to be. he does have feelings he is human. but everyone during covid got hit hard like logic, post malone, G Eazy, lil skys and even people before covid like snoop dogg, 50 cent. thats why the music playground is a short game most hip hop artist reinvent them selves by transitioning into movies like ice cube, snoop dogg, 50 cent, ll cool j. its a real hustle people are still trying to get paid. i heard healthy people get paid the most because they can outwork there commotion. they can have like 3 jobs and still get a good nights rest. remember your health is your wealth focus on things that make you feel good and do things that suck we need more will power we need a fighting spirit.
Turning down money is a bigger flex than breaking your moral stance and it's unfortunate our society doesn't embrace more ppl like G and just talk shit
I've always been a huge fan of his, not because of any of the media bullshit or his duets, but his raw musicality. I'm drawn to intelligent, empathetic, real, creative, unapologetic people... This is a perfect conversation to see him as is! I'm so grateful for his music and him sharing it with the world 💜🙏🏽🎶🕉️!
G-Eazy “All money isn’t good money” and all Steve Os got to say is “Oh Wow”… No sh*t he can’t turn down any money with all these ads he puts in his videos. Lol
All money is good money to him. I like all his ads other than the betting stuff. Gambling is a very destructive addiction. Just as bad as the drugs and alcohol.
Quite a few moments where G-Eazy is proving that he's good dude with good morals and those moments actually make it awkward, cause these guy's aren't lol
At least G-Eazy is self aware that he isn't as poppin as he used to be, compare to fuckin Lil Pump,Smokepurpp,YBN Nahmir and 6ix9ine that don't really want to accept that they fell off.
i love this interview. so real. i ran into g on the street in nyc around the holidays '22 and i was shocked he was in ny and he said "i live here now." never saw that coming, but happy it suits him. from the bay to new york!
2019 Soundset festival in Minnesota, Many artists play but when G was up I was pretty close to the front of the stage and honestly I didn't think it would be as great as it was but I was going crazy lol And I swear we were jumping up and down pointing at each other and sink and it was a moment I will forever remember. Also dmx played after him and I was right up front. Memories that will last forever. These things happen
What a wonderful podcast…Gerald felt relaxed and different than I’ve ever seen him compared to other pods. I loved his honesty and stories. ❤️ Been a fan of G since ‘16. #EazySeasonIsBack
Totally! Gerald's authenticity shines through in this podcast. His stories are inspiring and relatable. Great to see him feeling comfortable and sharing his experiences. ❤️ #EazySeasonIsBack and we're here for it! 🎉
Love how he described the Bay Area. That’s exactly how I remember it growing up. Now I’m in Oregon but I’ll always miss home. There’s nothing like it. Yay Areaaaaaa!!!
I agree, Kyle. I, too, am personally invested in Steve o’s podcast sidekicks health journey from obese to regular fat. Seeing those health gains really helps me tackle my own responsibility with verve!
I love to chill back and listen to the podcasts steve'O does .the guest seem to relax around the cast members and open up more Amazing work steveO and cast 👍
Not gonna lie it's a little hypocritical and tasteless for @steveo to advertise draft kings... bro as a recovering addict you shouldn't be pushing a company that feeds on gambling addiction...
And theres a ton of money in it. Can't be mad at him for getting his. He's sacrificed his body for our entertainment , he can promote what he wants within reason.
@@lilboat223 lil bro, that's not how this works. You don't just say you think I'm wrong and not explain your position. You people have no communication skills. Lol.
Steve O it would be great if you did a episode with Aaron Carters baby momma to maybe get a perspective of what was going on with him during and after you interviewed him. I think it could help a lot of people both struggling and in active addiction
It would be amazing if you guys would meet up with Russel Brand, I think he could enlighten you to a lot of politics that you are blind to because you want the best for everyone. Your stances are always feel good takes but look at all the places that embrace that mentality and how terrible everything turns when everyone ends up relying on the government to fix all the problems.
The reason we use Christmas trees and put presents under them is to signify the magic mushrooms that grow under the pine tree, and Santa is the shaman who comes to deliver them.. look up the history! It’s wildly ironic
@@AlecBurriss it’s every podcast, that’s how they make money, name one podcast that is highly successful with no ads or product to sell ??? I mean Joe Rogan has ads for products and he is the richest of them all, get over it, it takes 2 clicks of the screen and you can go right past it. 🤡🤡
Haha lookin for these comments but man I noticed it hardcore,… then anytime Scott talked Stevo just looked at him blankly. There was def some under current of tension there.
The fact that I got to know this guy has a non profit org for over a decade just made me respect him a lot more. Idk why but I always felt and could say that this guy had a lot of potential in terms of rapping. And bro absolutely proves it with all his songs in the past and even the bangers he is releasing now.
Crazy you guys got G-Eazy he was the highlight of my younger years seen him live five times and I’ve been wondering where he’s been at, after losing his mom thing got rough for him but he’s making a comeback for sure But these things happen 😊
All imma say is that a lot people say don’t meet your heroes. G isn’t my hero, but he’s a rapper I really connected with through his music. He became my favorite rapper/music artist. Met him at Coachella 2 years ago and he pushed security out of the way so that I could have a 1 minute talk with him. Dudes a great guy. Industry can be a hard lifestyle plus the fame. You’re bound to fuck up here and there, but this guy appreciates his fans and you have to respect that.
