Great review Jeremiah! I gave $849 for my T42, Black Friday sale, Nov 2022. It's been a great bike. 395 miles now and I upgraded my 11.2AH to 20AH for more range. I've added Lt side rear view mirror, Suntour NCX seatpost and Cloud 9 seat. Also RockBros rackbag w/panniers. Hydraulic brakes work well at coasting speeds over 50mph. T5 is a great upgrade! At $1099 I wish they're still available... I'm 74 yrs old now and going strong!

Firstly, I love your channel. I bought the T42 after much research, and your review was one of the major factors of my final purchase. I've logged 1000km on it, and it's pretty much nailed every performance promise avg 64KM range after 15 charge cycles, city commuting). This T5 basically looks like the same performance with a rear suspension

Lol.. That bike is pretty cool.. I would take 30 mph and the brakes it comes with.. The suspension seems ok for $1,400. Yes a center stand is ok but always worries me when going up a curb .. My bike the chain will rub the rear tire a tad in 1st gear. I don't use 1st anyway. With that battery I would take it over a Lectric $1,000 bike that goes only 20 or 25 mph. Weight being wrong is curious .. Maybe if they had alloy rims it's 6 lbs more or they added wrong 😁 rack got added twice or rear shocks added twice. Anyway, I like it as a cheaper portable second bike option.

I did over 1 year of homework shopping for an ebike. Everything I watched, I compared to the G-Force T5. Last June I ordered my T5. Easy to put the ebike together. Only problem (big problem) was, the T5 did not work. I contacted customer service by phone, left an message. Sent an email, took 2 days to respond. Over the course of almost 3 months, I came to realize, customer service is really in China. CS would email me about 230am. Every time I called their toll free number, it always went to voice mail. CS was helpful enough, trying to diagnose and sending me to different controllers. Remember, even the replacement parts, came from China, so that took time. Finally, after I took the bike to a repair shop, the throttle control was the problem. After almost 2 weeks, got the right part, and got to ride my T5 for the first time the last week of sept. CS has still not refunded me the cost of the repair shop( they told me they would). Love the T5! Great brakes, great ride and power! Hopefully the worst is behind me!

💙Another great review! (as usual) I love my T42 after 5 mos, and like you, surprised they left out chain ring guard/stand under the crank. Hope they fix that. T-5 is $500 more than my T-42, but that gets you: a 20AH vs 11.2AH; rear suspension vs hardtail; metal vs plastic pedals. Otherwise, appear to be same components! Did you open the frame and see the 22A controller? They claim 25A... After setting adjustments, my T42 will hit 34mph downhill, full tuck. But 35 shuts it down like turning off the key! Quite a governor they build into these things...

When a 48 volt battery is full, the voltage is higher than 48 volts, it's 56 volts I think..22 amps X's 56 is 1232, if it works that way, which I'm not sure, it depends on a few different things...Hub motors can be wound for better torque or better top speed..This one has a lil less torque but a lil more top speed..I've known 2 people now that had the center stand get caught in a rut, one of them broke their ankle, the other got hurt, but not seriously...I changed my cassette on a few ebikes and still don't pedal over thirty to add speed, I just ghost pedal slowly to keep the motor going..But everyone is different..
@DyLemmaOG
@DyLemmaOG Год назад
These cheap ebikes all have the same cheap hub motor that maxes out at 45km/h (28mph). There is very few geared hub motors that can go faster and those are more expensive. Geared hub motors suck at top speeds anyway, they absolutely drain the battery if you are maxing out the RPM. Gearless hub motors are better for speed demons, they are much more efficient at top speeds but they are 1000W+ motors. 48v battery does not charge to 56v, it's 54.6v max charge and usually it will charge to slightly less around 54.2v.
@realeyesrealizereallies6828
@@DyLemmaOG NO..I build Ebikes, when I order hub motors from different suppliers they can be wound different..Alot only go 24/25 but have better torque..I order a 1000 watt hub that only goes 23, but has massive torque..Of course more amps in the controller and the more amps a battery can supply constant, not max, also determines speed..I've built several direct drive bikes too, 3000-5000 watts, they fly, but require large batteries for range and 60 amp controllers and batteries capable of 60 amp constant, which is hard to find and expensive..56--54.6--Really, a volt, OK, I said "I think" because I couldn't remember exactly..Close enough though..Silly..
@DyLemmaOG
@DyLemmaOG Год назад
@@realeyesrealizereallies6828 Just simply not true. You can find 1000W-1500W direct drives which are actually cheap. Paired with 35A controllers. Thanks Kevin. I haven’t had any experience with either of those bikes but the specs do seem pretty good especially for the price. I would try to get more information on the battery because another Ebike company told me on the Wildway "The surface of the battery cell is aluminum film and it will be easy to bulge” but I don’t know much about this and it came from a competing company so not sure how true it I is but maybe you can look into it more. If you do and find anything out please update me here.

What are the pros and cons of STT with SP12 versus Hum-Pro dual suspension? After all that..
