That's the problem with a lot of the RICO cases, the people that get charged with those kinds of cases usually never have the money to defend them and if they do would rather just leave it to their families than spend it to get 30+ years anyways. A mob boss was talking about it recently he got RICO charges and he said by the end of it he plead guilty to 10 years and showed them how his scheme worked (it was a gas fraud scheme, not cooperating against anyone).He said it cost him over $1 Million to fight it back in the late 1980s.
@@raqkurd2574 Yeah I was! Just the only example I know of someone defending a RICO case that told everyone what he spent on Lawyers. They asked about sixnine or whatever his name was before he ratted, basically right after they were charged and he talked about how hard RICO is to fight, how expensive it was for him and that the Feds don't play they do their homework. I just wish these guys had left the street shit behind they were so young Fredo is 19 and Kal is only 24 they have talent they could've blown up.

These cases are expensive cause proving your client is innocent of a specific crime isn't the same as proving he isn't a part of the criminal enterprise. These guys brag about being gang members, it's not to fuck poor people over like you made it sound. People that brag about being gang members can't just all of a sudden say "It was all a joke we're really just a rap group" same with what's going on with AR-Ab. Those cases are expensive cause you're fighting the Feds that have a 95+% conviction rate cause they don't play they do their homework and only charge people they know are guilty and they watch for years. They don't charge innocent people and there's no reason to feel bad for them. They chose their life and that's all there is to it they can't commit crimes as a gang and expect an easy life.

@@rrrr8831 no. but a lot of them are. the black hood in boston has a lot of Cape verdeans, Haitians, Puerto ricans, dominicans, and regular african americans. but there are definitely areas where it seems like almost everyone is Cape verdean, like parts of dorchester, brockton, new bedford, and rhode island. the Mexicans and guatemalans and shit live in a different part of the city. that's just the accent I've noticed in a lot of the rap videos in massachusetts. it seams like how the white boston accent rubbed off on the hood.
