Every time Robo reviews a figure: "I haven't had trouble posing-" *figure falls over "The figure has trouble standing-" *figure stands up straight no issue
The joints on these figures are all over the map. I have three figures right now. Destro’s joints are fine. My deluxe Snake Eyes has very tight joints and his butterfly joints don’t work at all. My standard Snake Eyes is floppier than a defective MAFEX figure.
When I was 5, a family friend who was living with us at the time called me to the shed in our back yard and asked me to fetch him a bucket that was sitting by the doorway as he took a seat on a chair. Thought he was gonna sit and do some work on his guitar and just wanted me to get him his tools... he pulls on the tabs on the lid of the bucket and pulls out a plastic bag and hands it to me.. “that’s yours” I’m thinking what am I gonna do with tools 🤔 he’s unties the bag and opens it toward me and I see it full of gi joes 😳 had to have been like 20 of them with weapons I was like WHOA!!! at the time I had seen the cartoon a bunch but honestly didn’t ever think I’d own them. I had a blast as a kid with them, probably my first big love before wrestling.
When I was a teen, I donated my joes to my friend's little brother. Our moms were friends so we hung out often and his little bro always wanted to play with my joes. When the time came I passed them on to him. As an adult collector I'm wishing I hadn't lol but it's all good. He was sooo happy!
That'd be dope. Actually thats how they should do the army builders for all their lines. Make a Deluxe/Specialist type for the retail line and make the stripped down version for the site.
It would be nice if we just got them with just helmets and standard rifles for $15.00. That way you could distribute the extra weapons from the $20.00 figures and get a squad with a variety of weapons.
@@itsdantaylor That sounds cool. Also be a good way to get out variants like the Cobra Officers that came with vehicles. i recall the black Cobra Stinger came with an officer painted gray.
Beach Head is the first figure I remember owning from the original line so it's cool to see this modern take on the design. Also, as a lefty I appreciate Hasbro kinda vaguely making some figures left handed. Especially where I default to making most of my figures lefty anyway haha.
Dull muted colors make sense for Beach. He's a Ranger through and through. His entire wardrobe probably came right from the base PX and is ready for field use. No shiny metal bits prevents light reflection making him more stealthy.
@ rob the think that look like a missile who is on the backpack is not a rocket. It is a grappling hook and lower part of the backpack is the cord. You can see that on the original Beachhead from 1986. The crossbow is from the 12 inch Sideshow G.I. Joe line
I picked one up today after someone told me they were in stock and he was going to get one. I watched the stock drop from 6 yesterday to 3 this morning. I went and asked an associate, they said no, they're street dated, so I asked for a manager politely. I wouldn't have gone if the stock wasn't going down. The manager wasn't convinced by the asktarget tweets saying these things were good to go way back on July 26, so I asked if she'd scan one just to see if it worked. If it didn't work, no big deal. It worked, the manager was visibly annoyed that it worked, but I got a Beach Head lol. Great figure, but the weapons look completely phoned in.
Nice. I agree his weapons look weak. The Pistol/Crossbow looks too small and the rifle is odd looking. It looks like it has a hinge on the side or something.
Went to Target last week. An open Beach Head box was on the pallet with two figures missing and the teenager, I mean “associate” still wouldn’t sell one to me because of the “street date”. The Baroness is gonna be IMPOSSIBLE to find. I hate that I’m reduced to having to ask kids who weren’t even born when the cartoon was on for “permission” to buy toys...This is NOT fun...what has become of my life?!
I loved this intro so much! I have heard about the blue-eyed "variant" of good old Beachhead. I do like how the profile icons from the website are an interactive part of the collection this line. Bottom line, this is a great looking figure.
Robo, I love how much fun you have with Beef Boss 😂 Man, I barely even watch for the toys, hell I mostly just do Mezco exclusively, youre just a great personality! I watch Joes, black series, legends, just because of how entertaining you are. Keep on keeping on, Robo.
Hahaha that Beef Boss cameo!!! I was lucky enough to pick up two Beach Heads, and cut the vest off of one of them. Oddly enough, the lack of ab crunch doesn't come from the stiffness of the vest, but its because he actually doesn't have much of an ab crunch at all. His shirt looks cool beneath the vest with battle damage cuts on the torso. Not sure why they decided to give him such shallow ab articulation, but like you said, he's got an overall great silhouette!

Got the Baroness today at Target. It wasn't on the shelf. I just asked one lady if she could point me in the direction where the GI Joes were. She was kind enough to walk me there and they had the gray camo variant of wave one Roadblock. She asked me which one I was looking for and I said all of them but this one because I got it already. She came back with the Baroness!!! 😁❤️ Then I got home and Amazon delivered Gung Ho, what a melon size noggin.!!!
Love your reviews and can't wait to get Beachhead. That aerial view of Cobra Island is sick... the island itself is in the shape of the Cobra symbol which is really cool!!
I have something of a sob story. I was 7 when I got my first GIJoe. I opted for the Cobra Officer figure. The silver Cobra emblem sold me on it. From then on, GIJoe figures were king for me. I used to have over a hundred. Then...my Mother remarried. When I turned 14, my Step-Father decided to throw every single toy I owned in the trash, while I was at school. All my GIJOES, vehicles, Legos, Battle Beasts, Visionaries, Army Antz, Centurions, Robotech, Transformers, Star Wars; everything. My sadness, anger, and frustration were profound. Somehow, I managed to store away and block that pain. I hadn't really revisited it, until 30 years later and I discovered these Classified Joe's. Suddenly, I have a near uncontrollable urge to reclaim that which was taken. I have been fervently ordering these figures. Sadly, I came to this game late and some of my faves are already hard to find, like Beachhead.
I’ve been collecting Classified for the last couple months, and I was today years old when I learned that the symbols on the side of the box were the new file card system, and that there’s a slot for the crossbow on BH’s pack. Now I gotta download that app.
Popfindr showed 6 In stock in my local Target for days. Then one evening, only 2 in stock. Went to Target in the morning. Nothing on the pegs. Spoke to employee: oh, those are street dated. I left the Target. 3 hours later, 0 in stock.
These reviews of the Classified series from Robo reeeaaally made me want these figures, they just looked awesome and fun, whereas GI Joe was firmly before my time, being born in '91, my main personal tie to the property was the Fenslerfilm GI Joe PSA parodies on early RU-vid. But I'm now very much into this line, these are my Joes. Just completed wave 1 (repainted that hair on Scarlett though), and have Gung Ho, Cobra Commander, and Profit Director Destro on pre-order.
Even though I watched the cartoons and read the comics way back in the day, I never got deep into the stories and such, even forgetting most of what I did know. But these new figures are so good it makes me go digging back in. It's crazy.
I was the right age when G.I.Joe 3 3/4 inch came out, had all the straight arms. I lived that toyline as a kid. My next love was He-Man and my last live was MASK before I outgrew toys
Ohhhh Gus! Good ol' Gus nicely surprised to see the old man... but not gonna lie, I WAS expecting Beef Boss. Nice fake out Robo. Very nice. And of course Beach Head is a must. Great Review.
Fingers crossed I'll be able to start finding these Target Joes come the 14th. Once I have Beach Head, though, I'm gonna have to look into some acrylic paints to upgrade his weapons. Both for the fact that the plain green plastic weapons don't look very good on their own, and they just stand out among the other figures' accessories.
Robo!! I just got my Beachhead and there is a place for the crossbow on his backpack it's in the middle right next to the arrows. It looks awesome on the self.
Nice photos/poses at the end of the video. I totally agree -they seemed to be lazy with the paint this time. The buckles should be silver or different black. Or the weapons should have different areas being brown, black or silver -same with the backpack. The plain green looks like the green soldiers we had as kids -they need to be painted!
GI Joe's are coming out with better articulation, better paint application and more accessories than Marvel Legends these days, at a lower price. Definitely I will be looking forward to more GI Joe's and less Marvel Legends.

They aren’t over flowing. They will be available but #s at the distribution warehouses are maybe one more restock...the numbers I was told are not the plenty we are hoping for. At least at this point. I’m confident I’ll get a Baroness and Beachhead. I’m not so sure getting 8 more troopers or even 4 more will be as easy.

I bought wave 1 & 2 collectors option from BBTS because those first 8 *CLASSIFIED* figures, I'm sending away to get graded for further future value (along with all the popular Earthrise Transformers figures in collectors option). *Question. Where do I get these?* I haven't even heard of these new CLASSIFIED figures i.e. Beachhead & Cobra Trooper. (anymor characters? Hopef not Target f'n exclusives?)* Having NO Target here, i missed out on JW Brachiosaurus & TMNTNECA TOON figures. I BETTER NOT miss the THUNDERCRACKER SKYWARP 2pk exclusive lol!
I have two theories as to what the RPG device is on Beachhead's backpack, though this is entirely a theory. It might be a rifle grenade attached to detonation cord. Similar devices (called Anti-personnel obstacle breaching system or APOBS) are used for clearing barricades and obstacles, especially landmines and razor wire. If you notice there is a spool of cord at the bottom of the backpack, far more noticeable on the original 3 3/4 figure. The det-cord explodes and clears a straightline path through such obstructions. Likewise, it may just be a large grappling hook folded up, thus the attached spool of cord/rope.
Have you noticed the front plastic window of the package is a portion of the star in the GI Joe logo? I have a feeling we'll get another version of the Cobra Trooper as a Cobra Officer with different paint aps.
My prediction for the next wave of Gi Joe’s will likely consist of Shipwreck, Tunnel Rat, Breaker (Or one of the other Joe computer techs), a cobra viper, and atleast one named cobra officer either going to be a new storm shadow variant for the main line or I feel Major Blud would work. I would also love seeing Dusty and Spirit made in the classified line. And are both reasonably possible characters we may see in the future. I feel spirit with his Modern Rambo inspired appearance would fit in well with the line.
I wasn't really looking at the G.I. Classified series until I started watching Robo's reviews of them. Now I'm all in. Just bummed that I was late to the party and didn't get the exclusive Snake Eyes.
Target stock issues lol. Exactly why if I can't buy it online (and many times I can't), I'll simply not bother with the line. I'm 100% done with "the hunt" regarding retail stores. I'm never going back to that complete waste of my time and gas money. Retail stores getting this stuff serves no other purpose than for the employee's to hoard and scalp the stock. Im about to the point where if a company doesn't offer a preorder option that's made-to-order, much like NECA with their Tohka/Rahzaa set, I'll simply not even consider them. If that means I may as well leave the collecting hobby all together, so be it. I'm done with begging, hoping, and being screwed over as a fan/consumer of these companies and their products. You want to sell me something I'd like to have? Make it happen yourselves. I'll not put another ounce of effort into trying to give you my money beyond hitting a preorder button that actually allows me to buy it.
