I loved GLOW so much when I was a kid! Each girl had her own gimmick and I loved them ALL! The documentary was depressing and heartwarming at the same time. They never should have stopped the league.
That was a really good documentary---but I've always wondered why David McClane declined to be interviewed for it. Would've been nice to hear some insight on the show from him!
I used to watch this every Saturday afternoon and I never missed an episode! My mom worked as a nurse so it was me and my dad. Every time it came on I would beg and plead for him to take me to Vegas so I could meet the G.L.O.W. girls. He would get so mad at me and say even if I agreed to this crazy idea they are not going to let an eleven year old inside. 😆😆😆
I loved GLOW....I watched it every Sunday afternoon right after WWF.....My favorite wrestler was Mount Figi. When she entered the ring, she whooped ass 🤣😅🤣😅🤣 RIP to Emily Dole, Mountain Figi 🌸🌺🌴🌼🌸🌺
@@horizontoday7874 Nope Pocohantas she played a native Indian. He created Glow then left after 1 year & Created P.O.W.W. It was the same thing & most were the same as what was on in GLOW for female wrestlers. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vLYgfoDm1yE.html
@@BBBYpsi Oh, she is pretty! But, as far as Native American women in GLOW, I was only familiar with Little Feather and later introduced, Cheyenne Cher. Two beauties also! Lol
I remember I would wait for the show to come on TV. I Love Americana, Mount Fuji, Farmer's Daughter and Zoya. Then all of a sudden it was cancelled and I was so MAD!!!
My favorite is the original and true Diva of wrestling Ashley Cartier Brings back a lot of childhood memories. My older brother use to charge me $1 to be able to watch GLOW every week
I used to love this show! I’d be yawning, STRUGGLING to stay up late enough to watch it when I was a kid. Once I heard the music & saw those big neon pink letters on the tv screen, my heart would beat outta my chest & Id be wide awake. Time to LOTION UP...
This is gold! awful jokes, bad acting, terrible "wrestling" & a gaudy retro style.. unintentionally hilarious & thoroughly entertaining watching back now. I'm not surprised they made a show about this after I found these gems on RU-vid. It's a crazy piece of tv / wrestling history
Channel 42 WBMG, in Birmingham AL, it was lit baby 1987-88 every night on Saturdays to watch these chicks wrestle and do alot of their skits Every woman were really GLOWing
I remember when one of the girls broke her arm and they showed the replay like a million times, that was the talk for a long time in school,at home ,out in the barrio, even the teacher talked about it
Man we would watch this and it was game on afterwards. OMG I remember we were wrestling me and my sister and my sister tried a move on the other and bust her head on the dresser. 😂😂 we was all like 😮she had to get 6 stitches. We couldn’t watch glow no more but when my grandma went to church on Sunday we would watch the rerun and it was still on. Fun times and FYI that figure 4 really hurts
Wow I remember watching this in college in the 80s. Great show and hot ladies. I only remember Americana who who was very sexy wearing the red white and blue 😅😂 gotta love the audience of all trucker types lol
Political correctness devoured the nation's sense of humor. We used to be able to laugh at ourselves. Sure, there were always people getting offended by something historically. We just never used to cater to the emotionally unstable 1%. Now emotional instability is fashionable.
This is too funny. I used to watch this show when I was like, 6 or 7. When people are talking about "remember such and such from the 80s?", this is always a great one to bring up, cause alot of people don't think of it, but when you remined them, they're always like,"OMG,I remember that!"
Little Fiji was always smokin hot. I remember watching glow when I was a little kid. Little Fiji was the hottest. The Heavy Metal Sisters were the most entertaining.
I remember one of them broke their arm on National TV..I forgot he name but she wore Red White and Blue.. Thanks to Jeanie Buss it's coming back but it will be called WOW..and that's cool because this was a good show I likes the one from Palestine she use to blow dust in her opponents face 🤣it was good entertainment...God Bless you Jeanie ❤️
I can't believe I still remember the lyrics to this. Hahaha I can her Tammy Jo whiny voice in the background. They use to always have her in a match with Matilda the hut hahah.
There were only 4 seasons of the show .. creative differences between the David maclane who started GLOW and the director and the owner sponser had differences .....
