I was between the 852 and 872. I went 872 first because it fit my fishing better and tend to like extra length both super versatile. My next rod will definitely be a 852. You only conviced me further how great the 852! Is.
Can you throw 1/15 or 1/16 Neds with it easily!? I mostly Ned fish in my creek. I’ve got an Expride 7’ MF which I use for 1/4 Chatterbaits (dont roast me) and 1/15 Neds. I’m curious if I can do it all with the 852s comfortably. I use a topwater clip to swap lures quickly when I’m in the water
Yep! I throw small neds on mine often. I’d pair it with a 2500 vanford and you’d be set! Roast you? Heck, if it works for you, that’s all that matters. Tight lines.
Yes it will I have a 2500 and a 3000 vanford on this same rod. You’ll love it either way. I’d go with 15lb for the power pro. It’s plenty small in diameter and you can still see it.
NOW you are Talking. First came the 852S and then i got the 872S. They are like Salt & Peper to me and my fishing. They cost a whopping 550€ each but they are worth every €€€.
