It’s worth what people are willing to pay, and I’m sure they can’t keep them in stock. Same goes with everything in America. Somehow people are still buying this stuff. They sell surf boats that are well over 400K! And people buy them.
Looking at this rod for a semi all purpose spinning rod (already have a handful of NRX casting rods) but curious how small of swimbaits you will go on it? Hearing mixed reviews of how light you can go and still be effective
Awesome video, planning a trip up there in May from Louisiana and came across your channel. Awesome trip. Ole girl was smashing on them! Looks like y'all were having a blast.
Hey bud I just saw a video and this guy was really bashing the rod and saying he couldn't feel anything on the bottom. I started laughing bud I think the guy just didn't like the rod. I don't have one yet I can't understand how he could not feel anything on the bottom. I really find that extremely hard to believe.
@@OnAnotherLine I'm still baffled about what he said. I can't tell how many people said who have them how phenomenal the the poison adrena rod's are not only that these guys are high end rod users and have nrx , diawa steel , g Loomis one guy was saying the poison adrena is more sensitive than a nrx . It sounded like he didn't like how light it was, I haven't used high end rods in 3 or 4 yrs and I said to my self one day there has to be a 100 dollar rod out there that has good sensitivity. Well guess what there isn't. And I've heard so many people on u tube say why would you want to spend that much money. You know why they are saying that. Because they have never experienced that kind of sensitivity and I think that you are actually making it harder on your self because when you start fishing bottom contact baits you can't feel anything. Bro I have Brandon Cobbs rods from ark rod's they are 40 ton carbon fiber and they are terrible you know why. Bro they are not balanced properly and that is everything with a fishing rod. You want to feel constantly what your bait is doing down there and I'm not feeling that and I've had it. It's time to go back to high end rods like schimino expride B rods. I'm 60 yrs old so you could imagine how many rod's I've held in my hand the technology that schimino is useing is the best on this planet. And bro really when you think about it 280 dollars for a expride B rods that's a 400 dollar rod from another company. And I'm telling you something right now you are not going to get the outstanding quality that your going to get from schimino from any other rod . I've heard guys who own nrx putting them down and picking up the poison adrena rod's because it's so ridiculously outstanding in every aspect BALANCE, lightness, sensitivity, backbone. The one's I'm going to purchase next week are the expride B's bro the 7' 3 extra heavy is a hammer I mean you can set the wood to them. Anyway sorry about the long email but I'm trying to show these people that 100 dollar rods are just not worth it. Well not for a bass finact like me. God bless you and your family your pal fisherman Mike from Missouri.
@@austinhager8128 find grass and throw a craw style bait on a Texas rig. Top water should work as well. Always a good option to run over to holiday point marina and fish the left bank to the ramp.
Anything that is more dense stops sensitivity because the vibration has to work through a denser field. Anything less dense transmits better vibrations. What's easier to feel Fish strikes? A lighter and less dense rod or a thicker and more heavier dense rod? The less dense an object is the easier it is to pull through a fish's mouth the more dense objects are the harder it is to pull through a fish mouth! The scratch marks on your lead Bullet weights are proof that the lead pulls through easier because it gives. Heavier and more dense weights make it harder to detect very light strikes! You need to be concerned about feeling a fish strike , not the bottom!
East Lynn seems to fish a little better than Grayson for larger fish it seems. Grayson is great in the spring and fall and is fun as heck for number in the summer, but no size.
Yes it does, unless you are running in temps at or below 32°. We ran the oil through the winter and spring and changed it with the appropriate 25w-40 in mid spring.
Well Enjoyed the video🙌 Btw I'm not really sure if it is the best time to ask but, I was wondering if I can create better distribution through your videos by making them more subtle and also make highly engaging shorts out of them?
Need some advice on the river, have never fished it and have a small club tournament here in a few weeks will be fishing in the Ashland little sandy area any tips on what to throw and where to
I'm sure it would have been wise to do that, but I wasn't even sure that it could be done. However, I will say I couldn't tell a difference in clarity from before the break to after. If you have enough EMI in/around your boat to absorb through that 2" piece of unshielded wire, you've got bigger problems than a cut cable.
I recommend the shimano scorpion travel rod brand. It is also a 5 piece rod as well. When it is connected, the power and action are the same as casting 1 piece.
@@OnAnotherLine is there a major difference between them ? Would it decrease sensitivity? And what reel would You recommend ? I got a shimano miravel but thinking of upgrading to a vanford or stradic
@@InfamousKiddXD there isn’t a ton of difference between them at all. If you were blind folded and I handed you both of them, you wouldn’t know the difference. My favorite reel that Shimano makes is the Exsence, but in the price range you mentioned, vanford all day.
@@OnAnotherLine thanks for your input I got it with a shimano miravel got the combo for a steal at a garage sale I’m wondering if that reel is balanced with the syr or if I should sell it and upgrade
Just curious if you thought about doing these repairs for $$. I ask because I have one that was pinched, no where near as bad as the cable in the video and was wondering what you would charge. Thanks for the video!!
How would my 894c work as a hollow-bellied frog rod? (a retirement gift:) I need to learn to catch bass with hollow frogs. I'm walking distance from a muddy-bottom pond; I know it's got frogs and bass.
I’d throw it on there, but I enjoy more backbone for my frogs, so I use a Poison Adrena 176 xh for frogs. The rod you have would work for sure, though.
