It's sadly very rare to find this piece played outside of Baroque tuning Very nice recording here

@Thomas Boushier I like to hear the space around the music, and Phillips' Mariner recordings sound like the space has been boxed-in and sucked-out. (I am claustrophobic!) I barely know Telemann's music. Which pieces must I hear in order to consider him in the class of J.S. Bach or Handel? Which piece is his B-minor Mass? his Well-tempered Clavier? his Brandenburg Concerti?

@@christofeles63 Hold on, on a completely different subject, Marriner's recordings on Hanssler and Capriccio have a more wider-sounding atmosphere to his earlier recordings for Philips and Decca during the 1960s-80s. He did a marvellous Handel Water Music/Music for the Royal Fireworks with the ASMF on Hanssler in 1991, which is my favourite version of the work - I highly recommend checking it out!
