I had a gun a few years ago that used the same concept but was from Redline airsoft called the airstock. It was connected to a Wolverine SMP. The air lasted about 2 games as long as you don’t spray and pray the whole game. It’s a good idea to have a few small tanks around to change out between games. Caring an extra tank and changing during mid game is not easy. I also purchased a scuba tank with a hpa adapter to refill the small tanks. This setup is not for everyone or every game type. You will probably want to have a backup aeg for longer games. But for short games it was a beast and I had a blast!

I see a lot of people questioning the tank in the stock but what people don't realize a lot of thought goes into safety of the players who will be buying the airsoft guns but here is what people also dont realize is tanks like that have a failsafe when the tank become damaged at the top when it screws into either the airsoft gun and/or paint ball which ever sport u play the failsafe kicks in in the event it is compromised i cant remember what it does sense i have not used a tank in a long time so u may want to look this stuff up b4 freaking out

phantom orbit, you could get an asa to remote line adapter and then run a line directly from the back of your gun. If you have a pdw type stock, this would work well. Potentially could also instal a redline dual source kit and run a secondary line from the grip to a remote tank and reg - you would just have to use an empty tank screwed into the r3 so pressure wouldn't leak from that end (and so you could still use the stock), or some sort of plug.

I have plenty of tanks at home but I don't think they would work on this they're all either 800 PSI output up to 1400 PSI output but if I'm not mistaken I need 120 PSI Max output?? Would anybody be able to send me a link to the correct tank I would need for this gun?

I love the concept, but as someone with a tank of that size I can tell you it's not practical. They last a game or two, and if you run out on the field you are screwed. Unless you have a secondary, that is. A Wraith kit seems a bit more practical, since it uses 12 grams and can change quickly. No, I'm not hating on P*.

I feel a little bit skeptical though about the tank. It looks almost like it could break at the top area in a bad drop, causing the tank to go flying off like a rocket. Is there something I don't know about HPA tanks?

It all depends on the gun, barrel length, what you’re running it at, etc. All I can confirm is that you’re not gonna be able to play a whole day, or really even 2 or 3 gameswith just one of those guys unless you’re running a DMR, or are just a really good shot lol

welcome airsofters to the paintball world not only you can use a tank you can buy a milspec buffer tube for an air thru stock. since I play paintball I am use to the line but i think it takes away from the realism of airsoft. I wonder milsim west would accept this. unless aeg get a bump in tech every gun would be hpa. chrono these guns are going to be a bitch to check. i think there should be different classes of play. hpa vs aeg the hpa is going to have the advantage. i started playing airsoft to get away from the lines and tanks.

Lonewolfoperations there are judges/refs on the field. they could easily perform random fps checks, which should discourage cheating. also if the reg is inside the gun there would be no way to adjust fps during play.

How is HPA going to have the advantage unless one deliberately dial up the FPS after you pass the chrono? I could actually do that with my ICS M4 if I wanted to, hiding for example an M150 spring and an allen key in one of my pockets and replace the spring on the field would be no problem at all.

The bolt in a blowback AR-15 would go into the buffer tube, so the tank prevents a proper blowback system

So when that thin 1/4" ring of metal by the castle nut snaps under heavy impact or stress, you'll basically have a projectile stock/tank flying at whoever's behind you at near 800 psi.

paintball has gotten to expensive, so a lot of players turned to airsoft. I will pay aeg and gas guns only if i want a tank and a line i will play paintball. even more so magfed.

Companies these days are not being innovative anymore. I understand is cost money to do R & D, but they got to at least try to make new weapons without crossover with paintball stuff. The definition of airsoft is replica weapons and is a competitive team sport in which participants eliminate opponents by shooting each other with spherical plastic pellets. That's it. Anyways, This technology already exist on the paintball . I know for a fact... They just modified it to work with airsoft. Do you know what guns I want to see for airsoft? 1) Sterling submachine gun 2) Spectre M4 3) PP-2000 (this one I want!) 4) Bullpup Multirole Combat Rifle 5) FB MSBS Then I will jump back to airsoft again. For the meantime, no more m4.
