You didn't carry out the AC to ground reset procedure before closing the back up. In some cases without doing this the watch cannot be reset properly.

I have had mine almost twelve months now so hopefully the battery will last a bit longer I tuck one of my other g shocks to a local jewel who we use they charge very little for a battery replacement but my watch had two batteries which they managed to replace but the lady didn’t not now how to set the time I told her I will do when I get home but she never sort out the rest buttons inside so I ended up taking the back off myself and doing it I did find the screws to be a bit fiddly so i can see whey they Would be easy striped I may try replacing my mud master battery when it goes flat with the help of you video thanks for posting

I bought the mudmaster and just 2 months later the battery warning comes on ,so I got a battery CR2025 and watched the video, seems easy enough however, after buttoning it up I noticed that I had forgotten about the white plastic piece that fits in the back cover, realizing that it must be necessary, I disassembled the watch again and included the missing piece and reassembled the watch again, after 2 removals, I had stripped the 4th screw while tightening it, because I didn't have a good quality #0 Phillips, I tightened it best I can, but I'll never open the watch again, sometimes it is better to let a watch maker do the battery swap

Thank you. Especially for the hand settings later on! Really helpful. Oddly, there was a drop of liquid in my watch (right under the battery). I wonder if my watch isn't fully sealed. I had it for 3 years though (dove with it as well).

Didn't do the AC reset? Isn't that an essential step? Otherwise A-OK. I know solar is nice, and most of my higher end gshocks are solar but it's not a negative to do this every couple years - gives you a chance to clean the watch, grease the gasket and anyone with basic competence should be able to do it. If you can operate this beast, you can surely learn how to change a battery 😁

How long does it last with a full battery and regular usage of the abdomen functions??
