I accidentally set my G-shock on fire while it was falling of a 500m cliff and when it hit the bottom it was ran over by a train, then it rolled into a lake where it sunk to the bottom and froze but when I fished it out 6 years later it was still working and the time was 4:20pm so I lit up a blunt and got high af.... Yeah I would definitely recommend this watch.
So i had this while i was biking, a car hit me.I broke my wrist (the one with the g shock on it), my arm and 3 ribs. My g-shock only got scratched when it hit the pavement, it still works.
+Daniel Sarli Doctor: What time did he receive the injury! Other guy wearing an automatic: I DON'T KNOW! MY WATCH ISN'T WORKING! Doctor: OH NO! WHAT CAN WE DO!!! Guy with G-Shock: IT'S OKAY! MY WATCH STILL WORKS! IT WAS EXACTLY 4:28PM!
my dad died in an accident in the mountains and died buried under snow, the police found him and the watch he wore, the first casio g-shock was still running, police estimated was the body almost 2 months in the snow. .. Watch endured all that time ...
My first watch ever was a DW-5600E when I was in elementary. Back then, I didn't even know what G-shock was. After plenty of time without wearing one, I received a fancy-looking one as a family gift. A few months ago, I decided to buy for myself with my first paychecks a good, rugged, tough watch. I made extensive research and decided to purchase the GWG-10001AER. If you want a cool looking watch, you may find another brand. If you want a good , tough watch, G shock is your watch -to - go.
@@PKTA435 They are cool, but they aren't fancy as I said. For example, my family-gift watch is a Camel Trophy, 1992 model. Its fancy but not rugged and tough as any G-shock. You can't have the perfect watch all-in-one .
Kind of seems like a useful feature on a watch like this is a "time of death" component that monitors when your pulse stops since the device will outlive you.
I'm pretty sure that he does understand what a Rolex is. It's a status icon. A watch that I'd be afraid to wear because of how expensive they are. I don't own a g-shock because I don't like the way most of them look.. but I wear a Casio W59-1V, because they're relatively tough, waterproof, smart-looking, and I won't cry if I have to replace it because it costs less than $20.
Having G-Shock since I was a child I remember in the 90s when I began to notice every action star began to have a G-Shock on his wrist.. All the sudden every Special Forces Soldier or super Tough Cop had a G-Shock on.
I'm a watch guy, more in mechanics than quartz except for Casio, I still have some Casio I bought when I was a child or a teenager, and in these, the 1st released G-Shock from mid-eighties,I wore this watch every day for more than 10 years, this watch survived to multiple bike accidents, a big motorcycle crash and a car crash, and more than 30 years later, still working fine, to be honest, I changed the band, dead in early 2000s ... and batteries of course. This watch is still keeping good time and is still my tool-watch.
I totally love G-Shocks and have worn mine on every deployment for the past 12 years and that bad boy is still going. It has taken a beating too and it just keeps on keeping the time.
@@pedroneves5990 It probably is - my DW5600E is almost 12 years old - been ran over with my car (left it on the trunk on accident), burried for 3 days in the snow (snow storm), submerged in hot motor oil (fell into the drain pan I was using) still going strong all these years - (with the original battery to) - these watches will last probably several lifetimes... my Rolex OP39 on the other hand is now starting to run 7 seconds fast a day (after 4 years - also i know very different watches - but if you just want a tool watch that will just work - nothing out there is better than a GSHOCK).
I understand... We all have every day "beaters" depending on what our idea of a cheap watch is. You obviously get the fact that a luxury watch is not about telling time. That is what I meant when I said that he simply didn't understand. Nobody needs a watch these days. A watch says stuff about you and where you are at in life at the moment. It is a statement and as you pointed out a status symbol. A great watch is also functional art. I never tire of looking at my AP, JLC or Hublot...
I don't understand when you would drop your watch, especially from heights of this extent. Surely if you were wearing it and you fell that far, you would break before the watch took any damage.
Maybe if you fall in a way that your arm swings quick and hits the ground harder than your body does. Or if you wear it for work(someone like a mechanic)
Smart watches can't be as tough as this level. Smart watches are like those girls who always needed someone to do their work but fall flat when they're asked to do it. Smart watches are dad's princesses, these G-shocks are tough lady from a village, sexy, hardworking and able to go through anything
the music gives me the creeps.. the only 1 thing that lets most of the models down is the mineral glass, all models over £100 should have saphire glass if you want true toughness. my orient sporty £140 has it, not to mention it is an automatic, power reserve indicator, date, 100m water proof, screw in crown and case back.... my point is saphire glass isnt that expensive and if your advertising a watch as tough, get tough glass too, only the mud model has it, and that costs alot. sort it out casio and ill buy one.
See this video and amaze to see the comparison made to show G shock Hammer test and Drop test: 1. Watch has steel, plastic and other dense material used for above said test and its obvious if more dense material more force required to break it 2. Comparison in video shown on tests in between Apple and Watch(Made from steel, plastic etc) & both has a density difference of approx 0.204 g/cm3 Vs 7480 Kg/cm3(Based on material of Steel).... so, dear no comparison between both at all.. 3. Hammer test, there is some damping already consider which also work to absorb shock from hammer.....seems fake again...haahhahaha
That Claw Machine sounds like a HoverCraft Engine during start up trying to lift up multiple tonnes, you'd never guess it was just lifting a single small apple a few metres into the air VERY slow.
Drove over mine with a HMMWV by accident (took it off and set it on the truck to do some maintenance on the POS), still worked fine afterwards just a little uglier than before :)
simply making fool out of everyone. when on a vibration test they're using a digital watch instead of analog, which will obviously have no effect because digital watches have a chip in it no screws like analog watches and when on a shock test, they're using an analog watch which has screws instead of a chip.
Seriously, whoever thought about comparing the g-shock toughness to an Apple didn’t come up with a good idea. You need to at least compare it to other devices or similar material.
I through my ga 110 on the wall,,just broke one button, the lens have a little risks, the best watch brand in the world,I recommended all the casio models
I had enough with Timex when I had them they would break got lost or would die again after replacing the battery and their new designs suck and they’re made cheap and the band broke on my last one so now I have a nice Gshock collection thanks for this video
Of course you are 15. Precisely why you should respect grown ups. Especially when they try to teach you something. If no one teaches you anything you will stay ignorant for the rest of your life and I am sure you don't want that. Also... You cannot "respond" to someone's comment and when they respond to YOUR comment say that you weren't talking to them? LOL! I mean... Hello!!?? If you are addressing me then you ARE talking to me, OK? Get it right. And don't use foul language with adults child.
Gshocks will outlast you... I am a casio fan but the issue is current casio line up is overpriced and is also missing fuctionalities that made me love casio. Like for eg my Gbd h 100 is missing hourly chime... Even a budget casio or a normal watch have that... Also its missing split seconds in stopwatch!!! Dont have a timer either ... I mean why are they skimping out on generic items in the watch? Additionally, Its supposed to be a running watch but it doesn't have a proper stopwatch :(
I have a g steel b400 and it fell of my lap and out of a stationary car, and took a big chip out of the glass. I was disappointed but it still works I guess. Maybe it is just a freak accident but it was only a 2 or 3 foot drop
If I fly and the plane explode in the air and then crush in ocean, if recovery team first find my body, they will not know when and at what hour plane crash. That's right, I wear a G-Shock watch.
I wish Casio would show us all the g-shocks that broke before they found one that survived these tests. You know they went through quite a few of them. Regardless, their still tough watches.
They threw out all the watches that broke in 1983 itself.... They wouldn't market a product with "absolute thoughness" tagline if some of them keep failing even today. The brand wouldn't survive on false marketing.
i was wearing my G9000, i was riding my bike, i lost control, fell, slided on the road, crashed on a wall, my limb totally broke, my bike completely destroyed but my G-SHOCK... was still working and had minor damage on its case...
