Haven't attempted that move at Telluride yet, but, I might! She's breaking up she's reak uppppppp Doofer, just wanted to let you know after much travail and hours tweaking and upgrading Xplane11, including payware Innsbruck and Telluride airports, various plugins, and hours of GPS and ILS study, I finally managed to nail ILS and RNAV approach and landings! Especially RNAV, that is working out especially well. ILS sometimes is hit or miss. Using the G1000 the RNAV GPS approaches are easy to set up, and they seem to just take care of themselves, as long as you are at the right alt. at FAF (final approach fix). Once I studied all that stuff in greater detail, it all came together. I have you to thank for that, as well. I did one RNAV flight to San Fran Intl. today that was flawless, brought it down to 200 ft. and killed AP, and the landing was like a feather, greased. I was truly amazed. That Cirrus must have hit the tarmac at 73 knots, no bounce, no nothing. One thing I also learned is not to hit the APPR button until you are just about at the FAF, or just before, perhaps, if you hit that too early, it may start that final descent too early. I notice also that ILS landings are a bit less forgiving in XPlane than FSX: you have to hit your marks and alt. mins. precisely, pretty much, or it will not capture GS and will not work, or only capture the localizer. But man, once you learn that G1000 thoroughly, it's fantastic. Sorry for long post and off-topic! No other way to reach you.
