This video describes many important questions regarding G0 phase of cell cycle:-
why cells enter G0 phase?
Is Go phase is common for all cell types?
How cell can exit a G0 state?
What is the significance of entering Go state?

What is going to happen if the brain cells are not arrested in G0 phase? What are some stimulus that make some of the cells proceed from G0 phase to G1? Thank you so much for your answer, I'll subscribe

Exiting the cell cycle and entering into Go is a inbuilt genetic program in neuron failing which neurons would keep on dividing and would not mature. Immature neurons cant make functioning circuits. There is difference between quiescence and cell cycle exit. The quiescence cells might reenter cell cycle ( like many stem cells) if proper growth factors are present in the surrounding.

Why Active Stem Cells has high levels of Histone Metilation, and Quiescence Stem Cells has low? It should be the opposite if their chromatine is not active. I dont understand that.
@animatedbiologywitharpan
@animatedbiologywitharpan 3 года назад
Actually I need one entire video to explain it...its complicated but its true
@jagdishmishra2938
@jagdishmishra2938 2 года назад
Histone in the methylated state keeps the DNA transcriptionally inactive, so high methylation only keeps those genes active which are required to re-enter the cell cycle and rest of the genes inactive... The Quiensence stem cells having less histone methylation have most of the genes in active state which maintains the multipotent nature of the cell This might be the reason i guess..

Dose the cell enter the g0 if there something wrong in it ? and then will be dead by apoptotic? I mean that the cell doesn't enter the cycle again??
@rnamvsoak-j9849
@rnamvsoak-j9849 3 года назад
Yes BMw...if it's a defective cell apoptosis will help removed it or it can also be done through autophagy pathway ....its a complex thing but that's how the body clean up any defect
