Najarala is by far one of the most unique looking monster in the series. I think a lot of people back in the 2010s who saw the trailers for Monster Hunter 4 and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate were probably mind-boggled when they saw some of the unique monsters this game was introducing, such as Zamtrios, Najarala and Seltas.
Unfortunately this is as far as I can go to praise Najarala ; this fight is cluttered with flaws. Najarala is an exceptionally large monster, and because of its serpentine body and various body positions, Najarala can look quite buggy whenever it is flinched while it is extending its body for various attacks, due to harsh transitions between its different animations.
Najarala also has insanely low stagger thresholds for some reason ; any decently damaging hit on any part of its body can pretty much stop Najarala. Because of how big it is, Najarala is almost always coiled, it's difficult to navigate around it or to feel engaged with this fight due to this position. And like I said, whenever it does extend its body, it's always very awkward. Some of its attacks when it is extended are also near impossible to dodge because of how long and gigantic this monster is.
I think Narajala was simply a bit too ambitious, and may be brought back and properly reworked in future games, in larger areas.
Regarding Valor Hunting Horn, I've mentioned a few times before how much I love this weapon. It is the best iteration of Hunting Horn in the series next to Iceborne Hunting Horn. It is strong, with a moveset tailored to aggressive play while keeping your songs up at the same time. The Valor dodge can transition directly into a super pound or the Valor Encore, giving the weapon both additional mobility and damage.
It's incredibly fun to play, and the double notes system of this game was a neat idea that sadly hasn't made a comeback yet.
There were a lot of instances in this run where I was supposed to do Valor stance into Back slam but I failed the input multiple times. This is normally what I do for DPS but oh well in the end it still worked out.
