That's clean! I've got the same car, but I added 285/35/19 rear tires. Makes it look like an M3 from the back. I did run 275s, but went up to 285 and love the rear stance now. Those tail lights are SICK tho! Woooooooo!!! I like your diffuser, as well. Mine is more simple, but that F1 light down there is clean.
Thank you sir! And yeah dude I totally agree, bigger tires in the back are a must. I notice mine here and there and think it could definitely use some beefing up. Question tho... you must have to get bigger rims in order to accommodate the larger sized wheels, right? If so, what rims are you running?
@@nickmyers1762 I'm running the stock 9" M-wheels in back. When I first put them on, driving was a little off because my front tires were so worn, the traction was thinking something was off. I would turn traction control ON just to settle the car in. I thought it was the wider rear tires when I made the video. I put new front tires on and VOILA! No issues. Never had to put traction control on again. The front were too worn/thin and the ECU was seeing them spinning faster than the new rear tires. Handles like stock. Sits like the M3. I've got 255/35/19 front tires and 285/35/19 rear tires. Handles with ZERO issues, as long as you've got meat on all 4 tires to keep traction control from activating. I was thinking I would need a larger wheel (9.5"), but nope. You just need to make sure you ain't running damn near bald tires on the front! LOL!
This is crazy. I have a video of your whip from August 28 (rear view) and now i am seeing where the actual snippet from taken from. Trippy. 🔥🔥 whip 🔥🔥🔥
I did not screw the diffuser into the underside of the car I only clipped it in with plastic clips and it fell off. Make sure to screw it in as instructed
Hey bro just a little helpful advice for you from a fellow g20 owner u should get a rubber mallet to hammer in exhaust tips and for the diffuser some 3m tape helps a ton man. Like ur ride tho
Aye a fellow G20 owner named Nick. Thanks for the support :) I'm sure your m340i will look incredible with these mods. Maybe less cutting involved too. Good luck with the install!
@@nickmyers1762 I appreciate it man, you earned my sub for sure , the entire video was so helpful and I understand why it took months to edit and make 👍🏻
Thanks! Appreciate the support. To answer your question; Instead of wiring up the yellow wire, wire up the red wire and it will correspond with your brake light. I have not updated my wiring configuration to reflect braking behavior but definitely plan on doing it ASAP. The black wire stays, thats the ground. In short: Yellow + Black = constant light when vehicle is running Red + Black = flashing light turned constant when brake is active, turns off when brakes are not being used. Hope that helps :)
Sick kinda like my car but m340i 2020 you ballsy fasho 😂the shop can do that for me and that’s the trunk spoiler I want it’s 🔥just waiting for mine to get trashed
hey ive seen this vid like 3 times already and I really appreciate the help as I am trying to install quad tips on my 330i as well. I was looking for a front splitter and was wondering where you bought yours from?
I found mine on ebay it was under $100. Look up G20 front splitter on EBAY there are bunch of options. The style I have will be in the first couple of results. Glad you found the video helpful, that was my overall goal!
Yes, It is the G20 M-sport steering wheel. If you are going to change it out, take a look at some of the Carbon Fiber Flat Bottom G20 style steering wheels. I will be getting one in the future.
@@Reallydiorrr I have not replaced my wheel before, but definitely look up a video on how to remove G20 330i steering wheel. It is 100% possible to take off your wheel and swap it, you can do that with almost every car that has ever been made.
I got very lucky. Everything is functioning properly on my G20. I did not compromise any electrical features by cutting off the plastic bits, but got damn near close to it.
I'm originally from the shoreline near the mouth of the Connecticut River. I have relocated to Newport, RI and am currently in Providence for a 12 month stint, but will be moving back to Newport after my lease here ends.
Its holding up well. One thing I did do was bolt the two pieces together (not the side fins, but the light portion of the diffuser and the part that attaches to the car). One of my buddies (@g20jay) had an issue where the plastic bit with the light + wires fell off his car, leaving him with a very plain looking diffuser. I drilled holes and made sure to properly attach it.
look up G20 330i Front Lip on ebay. Theres a bunch, cant remember the brand. I know theres some brand called Ninte or something that sells the same lip. They are alll over on ebay
Im not sure if I understand the question. If you are referring to when the diffuser fell off, I had on purpose left the bolts alone and only had it attached by the plastic clips. I went over a rough road and it fell off my car because it was not bolted in. If you are asking me if my intention was to make a permanent wire installation, yes and no. I will have it there for as long as I want, but it is reversible and does not cause any damage. Does that answer it?
@@nickmyers1762 i think he meant did you wire the diffuser light to be constantly on as most have this wired to brake lights so it only comes on when you brake thats its actuall purpose
@@nabeelahmed2750 ahhh that makes sense. Yes I did intend to have it on always, however I am going to re-wire it to the brake light wire in the next week or so.
what wires would you have to connect to just make it just come on as a Brake light? I fitted a diffuser to my 4 Series G22 it also has the Black, Yellow and red wires. I connected the black to the Brown then tried connecting the yellow then the red to the other wires that are in the plug going into the main light but none seemed to get the brake light working in it. I used the Drivers side light to connect into. Got any ideas what I am doing wrong? @@nickmyers1762
If you dont want it on 24/7, you must wire up the red wire and have it correspond with the brake light behavior. That way it will only illuminate when you press the brake@@eduard1003
Sup Kyle. The tips that I installed are for 330i only, but they have different one's for the M340i that have a different opening to accommodate the different exhaust style for the M340i.
Everything you need to know in order to replicate the rear end transformation is carefully articulated in the video. I have not changed the muffler, only the exhaust tips. Is there something specific you need help with?
No, unfortunately they will not. You will need to get the M sport bumper in order to properly fit a diffuser that accommodates the quad tips. I have not seen any builds nor heard of anyone fitting quad tips on a non-m sport G20 without doing a rear bumper replacement.
it all comes down to the diffuser fitting the back bumper and making sure that diffuser has space for quad tips. Im not familliar with the base model G20 330i's, but I know that they have a totally different rear bumper compared to the M sport body style. So, it may be necessary to change the entire bumper in order to fit the diffuser, which fits the tips. But like I said im not too familliar so i cant really give too much insight on how things might fit.
So the way you wired it, the rear light from the diffuser does not light up brighter when you press the brakes. From other installs i have seen the light is always on and lights up brighter with the brakes. Did you install it like this on purpose?
hey, how does your VLAND Taillights do the animation when starting your car? I have a G20 330i as well, and no animation plays for me when I start my vehicle. It only works when I turn DRL's off/on. Did you change anything in your vehicle settings? TIA
Yo my man. Yes, they do there is an animation when I start my car, and when I click the unlock button after the car has already been unlocked. I did not change anything at all. The animation plays for both instances
nope. This is the highest available trim for the G20 330i. The M-sport bodystyle WITH the digital dash, ambient lighting, etc. Only thing it doesnt have that I wanted were the upgraded speakers, but the OEM ones do just fine.
Yes you are correct. You can configure it to always be running or to flash when brakes are active. I initially wired it up to be on all the time, and will be changing it soon to reflect brake activity.
@@nickmyers1762 The back of the car looks great. Can I ask how comes you went for the 330i over the 330e with the B48B20B engine with hybrid? Is your 330i the B48B20A or B48B20B version?
@@ecotts I did not want a hybrid car due to personal preference, and also a severe lack of 330e in my local market, combined with the fact that I found my ideal spec as a normal 330i. I have a North American, G20 BMW 330i with the B48B20O1 which comes with 255hp from the factory.
@@almost.m3 If you want the light to flash, you would wire the RED wire on the diffuser to the tail light. In the video, I wired up the YELLOW wire which makes the red light always active
Is spreading negativity on the internet what you do to feel good about yourself? Also, why do you think I care about what you have to say... hahaha get lost
From google: "The inlet size for the 2020 BMW G20 330i is 2.5 inches. The overall length is 6 inches, which includes a 4.5 inch tip and a 1.25 inch clamping surface. The outlet size is 4.0 inches, and the style is single wall with a slant cut."
you didn't wire it right.... (i have the same diffuser) just wire the yellow to the purpleish wire of the tail brake, the result should be... when you step on brake it will flash, when you release the brake it will turn off. so the purpose is to intensify the notice of your brake... instead of a constant light
In the video, the yellow wire is connected to the purple wire on the taillight. The yellow wire is for constant lighting. The RED wire is what corresponds with the braking behavior. I assume you meant to say RED and not Yellow? Do you have both the red and the yellow hooked up to the purple?
@@nickmyers1762 i recalled i had yellow connected to purple wire...resulting into blinking light when break paddle is pressed. i guess the blinking is better than constant on. i have 2020 m340i... well as long as you like the way it is, it is all good. btw, you connected it to tail light not brake light that make it constant....that means that your purple wire is different from mine. it is very confusing that we had same wiring but different results. my red wire is not connected to any wire. keep in mine that the tail wire choice determines brake or regular like, whereas diffuser's wire choice determines blinking or constant
