I installed the Akkon smoked headlights for my g37 2011 sedan and I think they look great, 2k is just too much to pay for OEMs and the smoke color along with the bright white spyder line looks great on my all black car with the sedan body lines
Robert Kyle the reason they did that is a certain surface area of light has to be lit in order for it to be legal, and I’m guessing the thin DRL didn’t meet regulation. I have the same headlights and I plan on removing that light tho lol
Does the projecter of the head lights light up like the original ones from the factory. Also, what website did you buy them from and how much did you pay for them
Just get them bro lol.. us coupe owners legit have no other choice.. especially if 1.) You cant afford custom iron man or halo customs 2.)you need a new headlight assembly.. and you dont wanna pay $600-1400! For a pair! Ridiculous.. im installing myself tmrw

@@shawnferrari1533 The headlights he installed are about 600 bucks. OME headlights are 2k!!! The retrofitted lights(Iron man,etc) will run you at least 800 and up.....depending on what you get done. I seriously thought about it for my coupe. But heard about too many complaints of the lights not being sealed correctly. So I'm going to change the bulbs, and call it a day.. or maybe buy some like in the video, and have them retrofitted..
I installed some on my 2011 g37 sedan and mine have about a centimeter gap at the tops of the housings to the fender as well, but they are symmetrical so I let it sit
I had to purchase a second pair after one of my headlights got damaged (you can't buy just one). I had my mechanic (who installed the first pair) install the new pair (same exact headlights) but now the Daytime Running Lights LED Strip does not light up when I have the headlights on or when I just switch to DRL. BUT, they do light up for turn signals and emergency lights. I just can't get the LED strip to turn on anymore. Can't figure it out. Had a mechanic check fuses and he said they we're all good. I don't think he checked the right ones in my G37. Have you had any of those issues?
@@asarker123 I noticed the same thing with mine. Strangely, turning the fog lights on (within these custom lights, not separate below) fill in the missing light/visibility, so I leave the fog lights on all the time and am very happy. Another thing to do is make sure you aim both the regular and fog beams.
What’s ups, looks like you have the “more” expensive headlights, unfortunately the light will be always be there b/c this headlights are AFS, you need to get it tune. But not guarantee to work.
My friend got the same headlighst, but after a while they turn off by themselves. He’s replaced both igniters and ballast already, any idea what could it be!?

I have the same set I'm installing it today but I heard the lights kinda points down that you have to adjust with the screwdriver can you please tell me how much and which way I should turn it? Thanks I don't want to keep taking the lights out back n forth just to adjust it unless it's all different lol
i purchased the same headlights for my 09 g37x but mines were smoked out, not the clear like his they looked wonderful until night time to where the two lowbeam projectors output shared one bulb and there were two different beams of light where one beam would be in the trees and the other beam were shining down below the license plate, tried to make the necessary adjusts to no prevail so i took them back out and installed the oem lights back in...i was very disappointed in these lights. and the daytime running light wasnt even that, the wite light came on with the parking lights. thumbs down.
I tried installing hid fogs in the oem housings but the bulbs were too long, do aftermarket hids or leds fit in these headlight housings?

The low beams, the 2 square ones, are hid. The high beam, the big round one, is halogen. I guess you could but it'll be a real tight fit. I have a 2012 coupe and our fogs are in the bumper. I fit hids in them.
